Discovered the YouTube show Pitch Meetings on YouTube a few weeks ago and I just bloody love it.
The premise is a screenwriter pitching a movie to a greedy movie producer, with both characters (and occasional side characters) all being played by Canadian actor and comedian Ryan George, who...
Hoping to have a pleasant walk around the village soon, maybe a light bite with soft drinks, possibly around noon.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
I’m talking about their reaction. Grabbed the ball, minimal celebration and straight back to the half way line to restart. They were ready before us!
They knew they had us rocked and the crowd was turning at 2-1, our players looked shattered and our shape in midfield had collapsed.
When they...

Utterly fantastic news, and well done to all involved to push this through. With some 28,000 jobs being created, and a massive influx of that sweet, sweet tourism money, this can only possibly be viewed as a good thing. Even locals support it...
These are out of control nowadays, it’s basically unwatchable without ad-blockers or paying for premium. Watching one 20 minute video via the app, I had 14 ads across 7 ad-rolls. 8 were unskippable.
Anyone else noticing a massive increase in ads?

I appreciate this is likely all over the Trump thread, but I feel the subject is big enough to merit its own thread.
Aren’t the GOP the ones who are meant to be all about tight security and order? I wonder what Republicans (non-MAGA) make of...
On my annual rewatch. 12 episodes of perfection, just masterful. Unsurpassed.
I love all kinds of British comedy, new and old, but there’s something very special about Fawlty Towers.
No matter how many times I’ve seen them, no other show makes me truly belly laugh like this.
A quick one - it’s my birthday today and I really fancy a biriyani and the trimmings (takeaway or delivery). I live in Seaford, and have tried a few.
Does anyone have any recommendations if there’s a clear best choice here?
Many thanks!
A question arises;
When you know someone off NSC, or have met them before, how awkward is it for you when they act like utter cretins on here?
It can’t be easy reading a post and thinking “this is an obvious troll post”, then realising your mate posted it?
Do you call it out? Do you go softer...
Anyone else enjoy this Danny Robins BBC show? I find it great fun - harmless hokum and Robins is a very likeable host.
Each show he interviews people who claim to have experienced paranormal phenomena, poltergeists, shadow men, and so on and “investigates” them alongside a skeptic and a...
This is my late father Bill.
He spent his whole life teaching the same class, in the same classroom, in the same key stage group at Hertford Junior school. This was a primary school in Brighton. He did the same job for over 40 years - nearly 47 in fact - and was proud of the education he...
So I’m thinking why not blend two of many people’s very favourite aspects of NSC, with a thread full of political/protest songs.
Edit: Context is quite helpful so for this one:
I’ll kick things off with this banger, from former Barenaked Ladies front man Steven Page. The song appears to be...
Seeing a couple of Police Squad! references reminds me - the new Naked Gun movie is out this summer.
And I’m genuinely excited and hopeful for it, too. Although ZAZ aren’t involved, and Seth MacFarlane has done the story treatment, it has one huge thing going for it: the star.
Liam Neeson is...
Has to be this for me:
Absolutely incredible scenes, one of the biggest upsets in sporting history. It was massive at the time and is still widely known in Japan as the “Miracle in Brighton”.
Try not to get goosebumps watching that!
