Interesting, well someone told me at the training ground he does, that gives me a very different impression of him. He seems to be in and out of the team all the time, I enquired as to why, and that’s what someone told me. Someone might have told me this last season as well, a lot of the 21s...
As much as we all think Naylor is a bit of a plank sometimes, he’s well connected in the club and has sources. Fab does not he only has agents, this deal is obscenely boring. If he goes for £45m who cares. We’ll still be there next week and the week after that.
Nothing I’m just saying why it’s a good deal for us. I don’t think his market value is above £60m. Number 10s are ten a penny these days, if Liverpool wouldn’t pay our price they would just go elsewhere, there’s plenty of quality all over Europe in that position.
I rate him quite highly, always seems to be exciting when he’s involved with the 21s, but still regularly plays with the 18s, so I would like him to be given a contract and gradually introduced to be full time with the 21s. I think there are some flaws to his game, but they can ironed out.
If it is £45m plus add ons up to £60m is not terrible IMO for a player who
1. Got less goal contributions than Gross (even with pens)
2. Would’ve been out of contract and gone for nothing if the release clause wasn’t inserted.
3. A Postion which we already have a short term and a long term...
Of that list I’d like to see BBB, Chouchane, Hinchy, Leonard, Miller and Weir extended, obviously McGill has, which was a surprise I have to say. The rest I don’t think are going to make it here or this level, but will have decent careers elsewhere I’m sure.
He was decent but never really recovered from his injury in December 2021, I thought he made a lot of mistakes on his return in the first half of this season
I work up in London so I can usually bounce off to non league games and I can work remotely. I get a big discount on travel because, well if you read some of my posts you can work out my job. Let’s just say while I’m elated about Europe, it will cause me nightmares in my job. My annual leave is...
I reckon so, they have a history of using Pseudonyms, I saw them billed as “The Holy Shits” at Concorde 2. They’ve got an album to promote, for what my money is worth I reckon the TBA on Saturday at 6 ish on Woodsies is Pulp.
I was at that as well, missed los Bitchos as I knew I’d seen them say Glasto, a decent festival I thought Wide Awake, saw quite a few Brighton fans there as well.
The 4 hour run of Wunderhorse, Working Men’s Club, The Murder Capital and Shame on the Saturday is what I’m gonna be at. There’ll be an indent in the floor where I stand.
