    [Football] Cup Final Day!

My concern for England is that Maguire is shite, and United today have highlighted why. With a solid two prepared to challenge, step up, get tight, it’s transformed United, meant the midfield have less to do. Southgate won’t budge on Maguire though.

Rashford that first half - you’re wondering if he should be on the plane?

Take Maguire out and have too fast on it defenders and you can look a different side.

Agree, other than the 3 coming up, everyone else has a min 2 full seasons in the top flight. Think Forest really are the only weak link, everyone else had very good periods and look to have decent squads and managers.

    [Film] Best movie scene ever

Agent Kujan realising he’d just been played…could have been a disaster if it wasn’t executed perfectly, and it was

    [Film] Best movie scene ever

One of Peter Hook’s favourite scenes too…

It’s almost like blaming a manager for a bad run of results, then when there’s a good run it’s only because of the players they’ve got.

I don't think it's that simple. Verbruggen and Trafford are the two youngest keepers in the league by some margin. There aren't many PL keepers get a look in before their mid-20s. If we analysed the on-going development of Bart, rotating this season may prove a master stroke in his development...

Well he did in reality, 19/20 we never dropped below 16th. Even finishing 17th in 20/21, we were 13 points above the drop zone, never really in any danger. We also only lost 15 games that season which was up there with the top half teams. The progress was clear and probably more so behind the...

Championship Styles of Play I think the link is more than just speculation given the style of play for Southampton.

It’s possible that things that go on behind the scenes are the things that clubs and owners take notice of, that fans know nothing about. 87 points in a very competitive Championship season is not to be sniffed at.

[Music] Classic albums that totally passed you by

In-Rainbows I’d consider myself a big Radiohead fan, but the whole release and ‘pay what you feel is right’ freaked me out for some reason. I didn’t listen to it for years.

It’s not quite as bad as if it was happening in August. If they’ve known from mid-May, at least they have time.

We were 15th when the league was suspended and 15th at the end. We’d gone 9 games without a win, but only lost 3, 4 home games without a win. Don’t remember feeling anyone was going to turn on him given the previous season and the progress that had been made.

[Politics] General Election 2024 - The Poll

New university students won't even have their A-level results or have confirmation of a place in July. Even then, they don't move into halls or digs until September. Not sure what the evidence for that would be?

[Politics] General Election 2024 - The Poll

There is no utopia, so ultimately Labour will fail to some degree as too much needs doing. It’s not just the visible things like pot holes, decaying public buildings, leaking schools and such, it’s been the slow decline and chipping away at our healthcare, education, defence and public...

[Politics] General Election 2024 - The Poll

I’m going to vote for X because they once said something nice about cats, and one time helped an elderly person cross the road, and also opened the local summer school fare, so they’re just the person I want to vote for. 🤢
