Not looking for him is it? Credit crunch doing him no favours in the economy, one of the New Labour Lords about to abandon the party (suspected reason: he won't back the PM), our troops still getting slaughtered in the middle east, a very dour persona and rumblings of discontent in the back...
Goalkeeper: We need a new keeper, Kuipers is competent enough but finally he needs some proper competition. Can we see if Sullivan's any good please?
Defence: I think we might be in trouble if Elphick goes. Mayo has shown he is now past it if we want to contend for promotion (superb club...
I reckon this is about 3 threads short - ideally from 2008.
Let's get some nominations onto this thread, then we can have a poll and TELL the mods to put the winning three threads into GOLD.
Anyone got any good ones from 2008 to kick off proceedings?
Does anyone have any idea of how many points (if any) they are likely to get back? The waccoe board has been full of threads hinting that deal might be done with the FL.
I f***ing hope not.

Proper exciting these season innit. Perm any of the top FIVE teams for automatic promotion, with potentially both Plymouth and Hull in the top flight next season for the first time. Who is your money on? I think West Brom will come good with Stoke finishing as runners up. As for the...

Leeds 0-0
Nottm Forest 0-0
SWINDON 2-1
Huddersfield 1-2
DONNY 1-0
Walsall 2-1
Carlisle 0-2
GILLINGHAM 4-2
ORIENT 1-1
Even when you ignore the quality of our opponents in that time, a record of W 4 D 3 L 2 is play-off form.
You've done the hard work, lads...
They paid £750k for Mark Beeney which meant we didn't go bust.
They gave us SIR Terry Connor  and took the rather average Andy Ritchie off us.
In 1982, they let us beat them at Elland Road which meant they went down to division two instead of us.
And yet it's still hard not to...
I'm worried about this. I know they won't get all their points back, but even if they get 5 points back we could be totally f***ed. We have to beat them on Saturday. *prays*
I just updated my GEEK thread showing our opponents' run-ins compared to ours.
The good news is that our run-in is quite favourable. Southend and Leeds have got a much tougher run-in than we have (although Southend have the points in the bag). Tranmere and Orient can probably be discounted...
What a marvellous piece of GEEKERY this is, I'm sure you'll agree. :jester:
What I've done is grade each fixture with a difficulty level out of 12.
Matches against:
Top 3 (Swansea, Donny, Carlisle) => 9 (home match), 11 (away)
Any of the play-off rivals => 7, 9
Fighting relegation (Gills...

TEAM NEWS:
Huddersfield striker Danny Broadbent could make his first start as Phil Jevons is out with a calf injury.
Another young striker, Lucas Akins, could make the bench, while defender Robert Page, who got a bang on the head against Southend, should play.
Brighton left-back...
I don't have access from work, so I'll ask any of you on here:
I suspect the top 4 places have been sewn up, but anyone from Forest down to 12th place could finish in the top six now. If we're within 2 points of 6th after the Forest and Leeds matches, we'll be in the box seat for one of the...
