They bought him in to hospitality about 7.15 and we welcomed him with a chorus of "who are ya". He said something about us bring on shandy, then when he'd finished he came over and hissed "I'd like to see Gus Poyet do that at the Amex"
Sorry 'Holly' I wouldn't, 30 mins before any game, let alone...
Having a very pleasant evening in hospitality, until some of the home fans took exception to some of our community singing.
Punches thrown, a sad end to a great night.
Whatever happened to good old fashioned banter?
Up to now days like this for the Albion have been not as many as we would all have had liked, with the Amex and top flight football that will obviously change, but let's not forget that 20 odd years ago, before the Archer rape/asset strip their fanzine ran a full page, and contacted Gulls Eye...
With the team just three games away from the Premiership I'm pleased that the likes of Derek Allan, Sally Townsend, Edward David, Paul Cammillin and Richard Hebberd are still at the club to savour these great times having been through a lot of heartache and hardship at the Albion.
When we get...
A discussion we were having in the bar after the game, had he not asset stripped and raped the club would we still be plodding along at the Goldstone with the likes of Sizen, Campbell, Kent and Clark running the club.
By all but destroying us it galvanised the support bought Dick Knight and...
Facing the sack after telling a couple of racist gags on stage and not realising he was being filmed. Long overdue in my book in my time at SCR probably one of the nastiest people I ever met and interviewed.
Read his book on holiday 'camp David' don't let the title put you off, well written but I can't help thinking he's a troubled genius very much in the Tony Hancock mould, hope he doesn't go the same way, but he's already attempted suicide twice as recounted in the book.
I think we've all been well and truly played on this one, I don't think Gus ever had any intention of going. He's now strengthened his position at the football club, almost certainly getting a bigger budget and transfer cash in the summer and setting up a classic football fairy tale with loyalty...
I was lucky enough to be a guest of Nsure in their box so watched the game from the West rather than our usual seats on the East.
First up our visitors, the majority of them more akin to the Jeremy Kyle show, but what must have really grated them was not only the fact they they got nowhere near...
In a league fixture in the Conference, season 2014-15, who would have predicted that the day Pompey won the FA Cup and the Hawks were still in the County League?
As has been said on numerous occasions on this forum for all our rivalry with Pompey what is happening to the club and perhaps...
Would that have filled the ground?
I have to say the empty seats disappointed me, for a club with Premiership aspirations we have to continually build the fan base, a 'new bum' on a seat even if only paying a fiver for it would be better than an empty seat surely?
