Sydney Meet-up in April
We're at it again. Following on from January's excellent turn-out the Sydney-siders are set to meet again.
We will be at Pier 26, Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour from 5.30pm on Thursday April 21st. All are welcome.
Anyone want to buy a 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom, one car space flat in the marina? I'll throw in the furniture too! Only 220k.
Come on, you know you want to
The Killers are playing Brixton on 19th Feb. I'll be at the NSC-sponsored Sunderland game, but I saw them at Sydney and they were awesome live. Anyone going?
I've just been watching a documentary on Marco Van Basten & it reminded how amazing he was back then. I'll never forget that goal in the 88 Euro Final. Got me thinking who was the best striker of the past 20 years - which means players like Zidane & Maradona don't count

Bugger - forgot to hit...
I've been asked to post some pictures of last night's Sydney piss-up, so here we go. Good crowd of 20 turned up at Pier 26. No one was forcibly removed & most of us got hammered. Excellent work all round. And we now have a web developer to organise the Seagulls Downunder web-site. Things...
Assuming Danny is still with us on Friday, who would you play against Stoke. For what it's worth, I would go with:
Kuipers
El-Abd, Hinsh, Cullip, Butters, Harding
Hammond, Nicholas
Knight
Virgo, McCammon
subs:
May,
Reid,
Chippy,
Oatway,
Mayo
As all the Stoke players are massive I think...
I have PMed two Mods asking for the Seagulls meetup in Sydney to be a sticky. And nothing.
NSC is supposed to be a meeting place for Brighton supporters around the world, and 20 of us are trying to arrange a meet-up & maybe set up an Albion supporters club in that region of the world. Just...
Albion Meet-up in Sydney
Since the Auckland thread, there has been interest in an Albion meet-up in good-old Sydney, Australia.
A date & venue has been fixed, and here's the details:
Date: 6th January 2005
Time: 5.30pm
Venue: Pier 26, Darling Harbour (they sell pints!)
I'm sure some...
MM has suggested that he may change formation this weekend with Virgo out & Cullip, Oatway & Nicholas back. He's talking about a back 3 with wing-backs? I quite like the idea for this one game, as Sunderland are pretty direct. That way we can give Currie a free-role behind Knight & play
GK...
Team just up on official site. Says we're unchanged with Chippy, Robinson & El-Abd on the bench. Then the team is given, and it says Virgo is dropped for Molango. :jester:
Team
Just saw a link on seagulls website to the best ever Home Nations XI.
Not a bad team, but Stuart Pearce as the best ever Left-Back! Come off it!
(4-4-2 Formation)
Goalkeeper: Gordon Banks (England).
Defenders: Danny McGrain (Scotland), John Charles (Wales), Bobby Moore (England - Captain)...
