They’re handy for that! I used to like to show my allegiance when walking around a Mediterranean resort for example but seeing myself as too old for replica shirts etc when my son was younger he’d always wear the shirt.
Our Turkish barman last year would take a sneaky look at any club shirts...

On the buses there is an East Sussex ticket that is NOT valid in Brighton and Hove.
I generally don’t argue with the public and I always let them on however I do point out why the ticket isn’t valid, you can imagine their counter argument to which I reply chapter...
