    [Albion] Argus today

Yeah, I'm not surprised the council want it sorted! Could they have made the steps any narrower?

    [Football] Goodbye Goodison

It was something else - As you all know, it's super emotional leaving an old stadium..... I think they'll be a team to watch out for now.

    [Albion] Argus today

Never click on Argus links, then you won't see stuff like this https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/25170161.brighton-gran-evicted-30-000-garden-makeover/ a) they're definitely foxes in the left hand picture! b) that's not drainage, it's a hole. c) Which landscaper wants to put their name to that...

[Football] Men’s FA Cup Final Match Thread - KO 16.30***

I hate VAR and I love Wazza BUT, this is the problem with how we see incidents like that - We have a gut reaction and stick with it. The VAR gods explain the decision, we don't like it so we say just get rid of it. Also, each of the pundits kept repeating the 'possible goal-scoring opportunity'...

[Football] Men’s FA Cup Final Match Thread - KO 16.30***

It wasn't, it was brilliant, watched with a load of neutrals and it was gripping.

    Exactly that.

[Misc] The Official NSC Bird Spotting Thread.

Good ID skills for a beginner, nice one - I'm generally terrible, despite having volunteered for RSPB for nearly 4 years and spending all that time with expert wardens!

    [News] No VE Day thread?

I don't disagree - I just sometimes wish we focussed a little bit on the history of WWII, why it happened, how Hitler came to be so powerful, that's a lesson we don't seem to teach, or learn.

There are still people out there that think VAR is a good thing....

    [Travel] Potential Speeding Ban

I think we're actually arguing about your ability to drive at the correct speed. Why do you find sticking to 20 so challenging and not, for instance sticking to 50? You seem to imply that your struggles are shared by almost everyone else but I (and clearly many others) don't find it difficult at...

    [Football] The Championship.

Lamps has done incredibly well, he made the understandable but flawed decision to go to Chelsea so early but he's earning his stripes now. Felt a bit sorry for Luton, that's a right old rollercoaster. Anyway, we're sorted so time for a beer.

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

Just to mildly correct you, INCLUDING those other countries, it's important because reform have plenty of support in Wales, due example.

    [Football] Wrexham

Definitely not alone!! Up here as well, there's otherwise dyed in the wool Man U/Everton/Liverpool fans who are now Wrexham through and through, until it turns to p*ss of course.

[Albion] Eiran Cashin [31/01/25: sings a 5 1/2 year deal]

I'm not sure that 'laughing' is the right word, surprised and please with the fee yes, laughing no. It was my fear for him that his complete lack of pace would hamper his chance in the PL - He's played the vast majority of his football in League one, you can get away with it there.

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Aston Villa *** Official Match Thread ***

That's unfair. Cash had been a fine player at championship level and may become a decent premier League player. I didn't understand Brighton signing him at the time and still don't but he's a decent player and a fine individual.

    [Albion] Upcoming International break.

I like Dan Burn, Dan Burn is not an international player. Foden isn't a winger. Difficult game to judge though.

[News] Flying from Heathrow today (Fri 21 March) or picking up please read

Quite - It's quite hard to imagine how much energy Heathrow uses, running all its IT, lighting, A/C, fridges, moving people and luggage around oh and charging plane batteries and the like. I ended up reading a piece explaining that Heathrow uses more energy than Nigeria's entire national grid...

    [Albion] Premier League 12/2/25

Likewise, it was proper football history in front of our eyes. As an aside, their new stadium is something to behold, I'm a bit envious of that!
