We've been so bloody unlucky with our injuries.
It's not just the number of them, it's the concentration across the back four.
Losing both natural right-backs - Veltman and Lamptey, also the ultra-flexible Ferdi, the solid Milner, the long-term loss of Igor and then Dunk and Webster playing...
This could become a bit of a vicious circle though...
- Lower ST renewal rate
- More new ST to sell
- Fewer new ST get bought
- More matchday tickets to sell throughout the season
- More matches don't sell out, exchange opens less frequently and/or less demand when it does, as most potential...
I don't understand this at all.
At the back, he's been scabbling around to put four bodies out there for weeks now - it's not a matter of favourites, more who is still standing and can defend a bit.
in midfield, Baleba plays when fit and I'm not sure many would argue with that. Alongside him...
Here's the link to the original story. Paywalled, but deal with that in any way you see fit.
It's just a brief mention in an article about various bits of West Ham's possible business this summer:
The club want to sign a centre back, left back, central midfielder and forward, and expect to...
We've been playing with central midfielders at right-back for what feels like forever, we used another one as centre-back, Webster was playing with painkilling jabs every week because we had no-one else, and now a half-crocked Dunk is doing the same.
I'd suggest it's tough for any defensive...
I've possibly been the only person to mention recruitment, so in case this "blame" is referring to me, I'd like to counter it...
I'm absolutely not blaming the recruitment team for anything at all. Given the success we've had, that would be churlish in the extreme.
In fact I think I'm...
I'm pretty sure that the c24k includes the c3k 1901ers.
I know I pasted it on a thread recently, but the away ticketing tier calcs the club gave me bracketed them both together, and summed to 24k.
Sorry - I've been out all afternoon. Lots of posts I'd like to reply to individually, but it would all get a bit dull.
And @Kalimantan Gull has made some of the points I would anyway: Bournemouth have spent the best part of £250m, have an experienced, well-regarded manager who is light years...
From the email I think all STHs received, there are no new 1901 spots available this season, so the only option to get one sooner would be a re-sale. They do come up from time to time.
I've said the same thing previously.
I think our interest-free scheme was seen as quite innovative when we introduced it. Some clubs offered payment plans but there were additional fees and/or interest.
I wouldn't be surprised if other clubs have followed our lead now though.
I was going to say that just because there are 2,000 seats available for selection to a new ST purchaser, that doesn't mean there are 2,000 season tickets remaining to be sold, but I'm struggling with the maths a bit.
My assumption is that the club make every unsold seat available for new STH...
Great work.
Walking the dog this morning I thought to myself I need to check out those exact stats. I completely forgot by the time I got home.
The loss of Groß, one of the best players we've ever had (you could argue the actual very best) was mission impossible.
You don't seem to be attaching any merit to how long each has been in their respective jobs, and how that may relate to performance.
Iraola came during the summer of 2023, so last season was his first in the Premier League. Bournemouth splashed a lot of cash on a lot of promising players that...
