Again, I'm largely on the side of the fans here and, as you know, if circumstances were different I'd have the same train ticket as you.
However there are still London - Nottingham first class returns available for Saturday 9th April for £41, with standard class at £33.
I do stick by my point...
Indeed.
I was asked if I wanted a train ticket to Forest and I said "no" as I simply can't go that weekend. I'll admit it never crossed my mind that the TV game(s) for that weekend had not been announced.
Did you know about the 5 weeks thing? I didn't until I did my research earlier!
That said, there is the gamble that if you book before TV games are announced - and we all have easy access to that information - then you could end up scuppered.
We might not like the game, but we all know that...
Fri 7th Aug Brighton v Nottingham Forest 7.45pm
Sun 22nd Nov Burnley v Brighton 1.15pm
Tue 15th Dec Queens Park Rangers v Brighton & Hove Albion 7.45pm
Sat 19th Dec Brighton & Hove Albion v Middlesbrough 12.30pm
Fri 1st Jan Brighton & Hove Albion v Wolves 3.00pm
Fri 5th Feb Brighton & Hove...
Again, I'm no fan of this, but the Football League do state that at this stage of the season TV fixtures are selected on a rolling 5 week basis...
We all take a risk if we make commitments that we can't cancel/amend prior to the TV games being announced.
