Yes I agree we shouldn't automatically assume the accused is guilty. For example I didn't ever think there was proof that Ched Evans was guilty of rape. But in this particular case, with the number of accusers, and Gregg's ridiculous comments (certain age and class) I'm quite comfortable...

For most people, innocent until proven guilty does not mean that we won't believe victims until something's been through court. That's just weird. Such a blinkered view would also have you believing many world tyrants are innocent, since they weren't tried in court.

I think people would prefer it if you didn't come at all.

So you've found the comments made to you to be inappropriate and they've made you feel harassed and uncomfortable? Report them to the police. As a victim, I imagine you don't think you'll be taken seriously. But if you can, you should report any wrongdoing, as there are probably other victims...

The media sensationalise news, that's nothing new. Are people here in total shock of Gregg's behaviour? I don't think so. But his behaviour is wrong and needs calling out.

Didn't know you were already 60. Or is this another thing Gregg's done? (not read the whole thread)

Agreed. Actually I think the when is important too. The sooner it happens, the sooner a predator can be removed, and future victims spared.

It's also a shame that victims don't think it's worth reporting offenders until they hear that others have.

A few reasons. For example: I do not believe other men will suffer. They didn't mean for me to hear their comment, and were horrified and apologetic when they realised I had. I don't feel that they objectify me or others, and believe they were just trying to make a 'funny comment' to a friend...

I presume you haven't worded that quite right. I trust there are some things a person could do which you would think are worthy of losing ones job?

I don't really appreciate the sexist generalisation. I've had inappropriate comments from women colleagues (such as 'while you're down there'). I've not been personally offended, so I've not reported them. I certainly wouldn't try and excuse a man making similar comments, and would back up a...
