Labour proposing to train prison inmates so that they leave with the skills that industry needs and that also gives the ex prisoner a better chance of living without reoffending.
Sounds eminently sensible.
It would be shocking if the tories were gaining in popularity so soon. However, the poll shows the fragility of labour's landslide and perhaps reflects that their deliberately negative messaging is working against them.
Only true to a point. If tax rises and other other potential actions damage rather than improve the economy then it will be those at on the lowest incomes that will suffer the most, not the richest.
Perhaps we just have to accept that all politicians and political parties are incapable, corrupt, clueless, pathological liars and don’t deserve us. Sadly, that means voting for the one that might, just might, be less shit than the last one

Racism, intolerance, and bigotry is wrong.
There is no latitude or grey area. I am shocked how some on this thread (and other threads have gone the same way) appear to believe the opposite when it comes to anti semitism and in a way I don’t think they would countenance if the topic was about...
Cut and paste this from Sky news:

"The first step of my Labour government will be to create economic stability, which means getting a grip of the spiralling welfare bill...
I’m changing my view of Starmer from being thoroughly uninspired to gradually seeing he has a quiet determination to shape labour into a party that will not only win this GE (the easy bit) but future elections. Like Blair, he recognises that Britain is predominantly centrist and that is where...
You are correct of course but this implies they are lying (which they undoubtedly are in this instance) which therefore means labour is starting where the Tories have left off. I really think most people would vote labour despite promising to raise taxes (or even because of). God politics is...
