A few of the Saudi fans seem to agree with you from their comments in their local rag :
"Well played Dan Burn. Just the type of player the club have needed for a long while. What a snip at £13m. Brighton must be gutted we got him for peanuts in relative terms. If the defence carries on like...
Agreed. But that's why I'd like him to have stayed because we won't see much of the fee. For what we gain I would have kept him. £20m plus then that's a different story.
Don't disagree, but don't underestimate the power of money. If they gave him say a 3 year deal on double what he's on with us, many a player would be tempted especially as this could be his last big contract.
I'm not calling him mercenary, but money sadly talks in many cases.
Also, whatever anyone thinks, £7m is nothing for an experienced player like Burn now.
Baring in mind we are spending figures reportedly of £8m for Sima, and considerable sums for Kozlowski, Caicedo, Sarmiento, Zeqiri, Mitoma, and Ulrick-Ella, all young and yet unproven players with a hope that...
They have so much Wonga it's obscene. If we sell to them then at least rinse them for a sensible figure of £20m plus. Wood went for £25m and is older so we should be getting at least £20m which is now chump change to them.
