Does anyone know how the hell I fix this zip? I can’t find anything online that helps. The zip is done up above and below the misalignment, but I can’t get the zipper past that section. It’s a zip on a tent front entrance if that’s makes any difference.

There’s lot la of talk online about lubricating the zip but that doesn’t seem to help this particular issue.

Helps with metal zips that get this way, but not plastic.

Look to see where the other misalignment is. If the zip if fine all the way above up to the top - then as other posters have said - a good, careful tug on the excess side (right) should pull the teeth through - then make sure you use your fingernail to even them out again. There is a rick that it won't quite work as well again if tugged too ferociously.

If there's a corresponding misalignment above (but on the other side), you may have to open the gap manually - then zip it up by 'unzipping' it (if you see what I mean) with a little bit of force at the end.

If in doubt, use a hammer.

The Americans are ahead of us on this one. Everyone over there has a Zip Code to solve the problem.

You don't know how many times I have stood in front of a urinal having an issue with the zipper on my pants and wishing there was some kind of secret "Zip Code" for my pants.
