Had a brief storm here in Kings Norton this afternoon. Missed the bulk of it but had a little rain
I used to work in Kings Norton many years ago, close to the station. Used to walk into Kings Norton at lunchtimes for a pint at The Bull(?) and grab lunch from the little store by the green.

RH12 has taken a pelting this afternoon with thunder and lightening. Main road like a river. Not the best day to choose to do a concrete shed base. Quickly covered up the work and then set out to capture this valuable thing called rain water. Empty water hubs have been replenished and got drenched filling up with anything could lay hands on such as large plastic storage boxes which are also full. Should keep garden happy for a while. Looking at lightning app more rain due shortly.

Should see some action tonight by the look of things. Met Office has a yellow warning out and plenty of fizz going on in NW France..probably won't be that bad but I'm willing to bet @UncleSpeilberg cops some !

I’m just south of St Jean de Monts, with beautiful sunshine and 30°
At lunchtime we had a storm for approximately one hour, and then back to the beautiful weather.

That front is now over Brittany, heading for the West Country.

Looks Like some of you will have a very wet walk home from the pub tonight!

30°C ? My advice is to drink heavily...worked for us one evening when it was 34 °C near Virè

Surely drizzle all day is better, to ensure the water soaks in, rather than a heavy downpour.

Ideally moderate rain, but adding up to a inches, rare in SE England in summer.

Beggars can’t be choosers, 2” this evening would be great for our plants …. said the actress.
