Old matchbox labels. I try and get a full set in a series, which is maybe 10 designs, then frame them - not really a collection in some senses I guess but erm, it sparks my interest enough.

Not at home so don’t have them to hand but I’ve got a full set of Soviet space ones for example from the 60s. They are often very cheap.

Railwayana.

A couple of semaphore signals with spectacles and lenses are mounted in the garage, a semaphore shunt dummy, class 25 cab desk and various bits that were liberated from the skip at work from class 313s are in a box in the garage, including a guards panel from a 313.

To much annoyance of the wife I have a class 37 speedo on display in the bedroom along with a fair few original posters framed and on the wall which are my favourite, including an original 80s InterCity sleeper poster.

The golden goose would be the original 70s Leyland double deckers. But I can't find any online.

Would it be something like this? Not sure if you were thinking of this or an earlier one.

It’s described as a kit and I don’t know whether or not the company selling this is still active as their website looks quite old, but if you search for Little Bus Company you could try them.

Thinned down my old retro computing collection but still quite large. Very large collection of Albion related books. Also have a coin collection which is large but pretty valueless. Have had a couple of hoe's at cleaning roman coins and have a handful of ones that look half decent. Again, no value but uncovering something unseen for over 1000 years is satisfying.

Thanks for looking. That would be it. But I seem to have drawn a blank in the past there.

Last summer I managed after many failed attempts to rear my first batch of Nigoskikoi.
The aim is to produce white koi with a single red circle on either it's head or central flank,as the first hatchlings have now grown to about 3 inches long I've obviously failed this time but one in particular has 3 circular orangery red spots so it's not uncommon for those to change colour or position as it grows.
They're currently ultra cautious even when fed now in the main pond hiding away in the vegetation but hopefully I'll manage a few snaps of the same hatch but different markings .

Ready for the chase,go get em boys.

My mini Pool Valley sees the Southdown Leyland from Worthing arrive today. All the way from 1966. Backing into Bay 8.

I've always loved buses and trains and turned collecting into a hobby. Although I don't think I could get a whole one in here.

NSCers, show off your hobby collections here (especially if you have train sets)
Oh now you are talking, l just love your Queen Mary. I have one in the old Southdown lincoln green and cream.

Time to admit I have every programme from every game played in the first round to the final of the 1982/3 F.A Cup, including all replays (remember them?), plus a huge amount of programmes from the preliminary to the fourth qualifying rounds + replays, plus a decent amount of tickets, too.

Yes, I’m as sad as the final replay result!

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I am sort of collecting the anecdotes from a retired military man who is a co-volunteer at my nearby cancer research charity shop. I've only been doing a couple of extra long lunches there a couple of days a week since February, but this glass-eyed fellow his dominated proceedings. I have the feeling that perhaps 20% of the stories are true, but they are told with unapologetic honesty, and i find being told them sometimes extraordinary. It began, i think, with him telling me that he volunteers at the shop so that he can beat up shoplifters. Oh yeah, i said, when was the last person receiving your gruelling pummelling? An old woman, he said, who i chased into the Boots next door, begging for her life.
He claims to be able to attack anyone, from a tiny child to a completely ancient person, as he is the administrator of justice.
He interrogates people on mobility scooters on buses. If he finds the individual not to be disabled, he attempts to strike them with his walking stick, and if they leap from the bus he'll go after them too.
I hear of his time in Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, and Bristol, where he was hunting human traffickers.
He has re-enacted how to stab someone in the throat, very loudly in front of some posh women trying to calmly look through the clothing we have on offer.
And that's only a small collection of his tales and opinions.
They're lesser shifts when he doesn't turn up.
