When Pat Nevin was still playing, and was ‘coming out’ as different, and substantially cooler than your average footballer, he did an interview (I think with the NME) in which he said his favourite band was Joy Division.

The Sun printed the interview, almost verbatim.
However, they claimed he enjoyed the music of someone called ‘Joy Davidson’.
Joy Davidson :lolol: , the long suffering wife of Jim?

plus there's Chrsitne and The Queens. Although I'd argue this is just a single person.

They're Irish aren't they? I've paid £72 to see them in November to be fair, so I hope I don't regret it :lolol: .
True. Someone posted Thin Lizzy earlier. Can I have Kneecap?

But France is something else.
Can you even name 3 French bands?

These are all on my iPod

Little Nemo
Kas Product
Hante (but....solo artist....not a band)

Louis Lingg and the Bombs.

Great anarcho-punks (though the singer is Welsh, or at least half-Welsh). I badgered @attila to sign them up for Glastonwick, but to no avail. They'd go down a storm.

Discovered them when we were hunting for a pub in London at 1am which was still open. We found one and wandered in to find there was a band playing in the back room - and they were amazing. It was the first time they'd ever played in the UK (and they've only played one gig here since, which I also went to). Unfortunately they had all their gear stolen on that first trip (welcome to Britain), which is probably why they're not keen to play here!

Good point, they’re north of the border.
Thin Lizzy are not, however. So we also can't claim the best band in the world right now (Fontaines DC) are British.
