One of my Fulham mates around here used to go out larging it with Dennis Waterman, including taking him to Fulham which was a bit awkward as he was a well known Chelscum fan. The writer of Minder was a Cottager and made him support Fulham in the TV series.
Is there a link?
All I can find is this from his Wiki. Sounds like a man in denial to me. People can be annoying of course, but how one reacts...
Waterman's marriage to Lenska ended because of his violent behaviour towards her. In March 2012, he caused controversy with some comments on this issue: "It's not difficult for a woman to make a man hit her. She certainly wasn't a beaten wife, she was hit and that's different."
