Well that was bloody odd, but one thing really ruined it for us THE BLOODY MUSIC all the way through it …inane bollocks

anyone else watch it and have any thoughts

interesting twist at the end too

Obviously I haven't read any posts on this thread as I am about to watch on catch up.
Then I decided to look at BBC news and a top item is (you can guess the rest). FFS.
Will post back later when I have watched the episode and rinsed the sand out of my vagina.

Fantastic season (bar last week's). Ncuti was a great Doctor, RTD is a great showrunner (even if bringing back some old enemies was a strange decision for a programme trying to appeal to a new audience), it upset all the right people (even though there really was nothing that should upset anyone) and phew what an ending. Shame there is likely to be a bit of a wait until the next one. Oh and I love Murray Gold's music - so there.

Doctor Who: Ncuti Gatwa regenerates into Billie Piper

The actor leaves his role as the Doctor after playing the iconic character for two series on Doctor Who.

Ncuti was brilliant, but as I said before, there was no way he wanted to be typecast. He was too good an actor.

This season was great and had a huge build up, then the season end just deflated it for me. The Rani and Omega were beaten with ease. Omega was on screen for less than 5 minutes. I think the flux had it right, just have one season be one long continuous story.

I'm a couple of weeks behind, so may have seen spoilers anyway at some point, but to put THAT headline on the BBC website immediately after the show airs? Come on.

The thing is Gatwa was almost too big and actor for the role as soon as he got it, so it's not a suprise really.

My wife got caught out too - looking at Radio Times Facebook page early in the evening. Huge headline, apparently. She was not happy!

Im amazed the BBC spoiled their own show! the headline was the spoiler and once spoiled if you clicked on the story it again says what it is and then below the picture of the Dr regenerating it has:

given that the BBC have acknowledged that viewers now watch in huge numbers on catch up( which is one of the reasons why "live" viewing numbers are down by such an amount) they could have least have kept it spoiler free for 24 hours!

I am not amazed BBC have spoiled it. They want people talking about it and watching it.

I've watched it, it should be amazing but it's just a bit "meh" like everything else in the Disney era. A shame as I like Ncuti.

A mixed series but the ending was awful, I am not sure who it is trying to appeal to and tried to cram in too much. Needs a rest then somebody completely new coming in with a smaller budget but get back to basics.

Yes, I didn't see the spoiler but saw something about BIllie Piper as the 16th doctor and spent the episode wandering if she was going to appear. Shame, I really wished I hadn't known.

The ending was a bit "If only I had a massive gun. OH LOOK, Lucky me !" and then "The most powerful/dangerous/evil Time Lord" was back in his box after swiftly scoffing the Rani.
Then Mrs H shouting "Oh No, not Billie f***ing Piper" (hates her she does)
