If you use Brave as your browser it has a terrific adblocker built in so no pop ups, no ads on YouTube etc.

Brave browser without a doubt. No ads, no pop ups, it even plays YouTube without ads. I use it with DuckDuckGo as the default search engine.
If you're on Android and want a standalone YouTube player without ads, then Newpipe is very good (y)
