Nothing unfair about it at all imo
The 'imo' bit is key though. Because it WILL be seen as unfair 'iopo'*

True, from a certain point of view, however the "product" is "Brighton and Hove Albion" as a whole organisation (men, women, youth etc) ,and, if we did it, it would be about driving and rewarding overall engagement in the complete package rather than just one, albeit dominant part.

Bloom and Co don't view the men's and women's teams as separate entities, so it wouldn't surprising that they could want people who support both the men's and women's teams to get a bonus.

Not saying I'm either for or against it per se, just that I can see why a club would do it
Maybe reserve judgement on them on that score until such time as there is a downturn in the fortunes of the mens team

Make a note of this.
10 May Both Men & Women play.
19 April Both Men & Women play.
2 March Both Men & Women play.
8 Feb Both Men & Women play.
8 Dec Both Men & Women play.
19 Oct Both Men & Women play.
Don't get me wrong, I've been to a few games in Crawley, free parking next to ground, £5 (oap) and some great football. But how can I get to the games when the FA insist on playing on the same day as the men?

Can't be arsed to look them all up, but the first three in your list, the Mens team were playing away while the Womens team were playing at home. Well in Crawley, anyway. Don't in all honesty see how they could make the system operate much differently than they're currently doing

If Mens fixtures are always on a Saturday and Women's fixtures always on a Sunday then this could work.

However, travelling away at Newcastle on the same day as a "home" game prohibits this from happening.

Rewarding those who attend is a good idea

They don't? Then why are the women only allowed to play two home games a season at the Amex (with the rest almost in a different county!) whilst Arsenal played NINE WSL games at the Emirates last season (plus all their WCL home legs)? (with average WSL attendances at the Emirates of ~34,400)

Men were
Wolves Away, Brentford Away & Villa Home. I was at all three games.
As I say, it's cheap to watch the ladies, indeed they run a free bus from the Amex to Crawley. Lots of food outlets and a decent bar. I'll stop at mentioning the stadium :)
Take the kids, they'll enjoy it as well. Plenty for them to do.

Maybe Barber should be asking his counterpart at Arsenal how they manage it!

(and remember both Arsenal sides were in Euro comps last season when neither of ours were)

(you have to click on each match to find the venue)

And the gaslighting goes up another notch......
You're either interested or you're not, stop trying to force this 'product' onto your customers, if this was any other industry there would be an opt-out filter on communications.

You can have different locations within the same organisation based on the needs of those sub-divisions, you know?

Besides, I was talking from a product perspective, not an operational one.

"How do you sell tickets to a fanbase that you've never had to talk to before?"

Not my words, but those of Nikki Doucet, CEO of the WSL. Attendances have stagnated for some WSL clubs and fallen for others. This must change.

So would the addition of loyalty points from women's matches encourage/force the hand of supporters who predominantly attend men's matches?

Outside of those supporters who attend both, it's dubious what impact it might have. If you want to go, you'll go. If you don't, you probably won't.

But at what cost would this have to the credibility of the WSL as an independent, sustainable and financially viable league that doesn't depend on parent clubs whose profitability primarily comes from the riches available from within the men's game?

"...despite playing two more games in the 2024-25 campaign at the Emirates their average attendance was lower than the previous season.

Another four WSL teams also saw the spike in attendances tail off in 2024-25 , with Aston Villa, Everton, Manchester City and Manchester United all seeing lower average crowds.

Everton announced...that their women's side are to make the 39,572 capacity Goodison Park their new home.

This comes after a season where Everton's average home crowd at Walton Hall Park was 1,956, with almost half of those games drawing in crowds of less than 1,000 people.

The club is working through plans to reduce the capacity of the stadium before the women's team move in.

Aston Villa and Leicester City are the only current WSL sides who play all of their fixtures at their club's main stadium.

Leicester have narrowly increased their average attendance from last season but are still in decline since 2022-23, while Aston Villa's average attendance has fallen this season, despite playing six more games at Villa Park than the season before.

Clearly more needs to be done to attract crowds to women's football at bigger stadia."
