More info here ...

And it seems this is more about improving your position to obtain a season ticket as opposed to being able to get tickets more easily for away games.

And they're asking people to pay to move onto the 'new' season ticket waiting list scheme ... only a tenner ... but might reduce the 45,000 currently on the list.

Also interesting to see that they have introduced a usage scheme and also season ticket renewals don't start until June whereas ours is done and dusted.

Totally different products imho, so loyalty points should not be combined.
Playing games at Crawley vs games at The Amex is a vastly different fan experience.
True, from a certain point of view, however the "product" is "Brighton and Hove Albion" as a whole organisation (men, women, youth etc) ,and, if we did it, it would be about driving and rewarding overall engagement in the complete package rather than just one, albeit dominant part.

Bloom and Co don't view the men's and women's teams as separate entities, so it wouldn't surprising that they could want people who support both the men's and women's teams to get a bonus.

Not saying I'm either for or against it per se, just that I can see why a club would do it

But one that will be deemed 'woke', 'unfair' and 'just another example of how this country is being destroyed', by a certain section of society soon enough. If not already.
Without doubt. For me, the recent discussions about loyalty points on this site has made me rethink my position. Previously I felt it was attendance at men’s games, and men’s games only, which counted towards loyalty. But you can support the club in many ways, and attending men’s games is just one of a few. Attending men’s games is a clear indication of support to the club, but then sponsors support the club as well and I don’t have an issue with AMEX staff having ticket access for example. I wrap the women’s game into showing support to the club as well.

Well, we don't have a 45000 waiting list so we're comparing apples and elephants.

However, this seems mostly like a scheme designed to get @jackalbion beyond 1000 loyalty points, thus breaking the back end field that only allows for three numbers.

Sounds like a great idea, buggers me though because I won’t be going to Women’s games. Attendances would go through the roof if we go on good Cup runs or look like making Europe at the tail end of the season

Edit, have I got this wrong? I assumed it gave loyalty points for MEN’S away games?

Double edit, should have read the OP

Useless idea for the Albion then but would be a great idea for loyalty points on men’s games. Get on it PBOBE!

To be serious for a minute it would be an awful idea currently, because the women's team play their home games away at an inconvenient and limited capacity venue, and the mens and women's games can clash, if not exactly then certainly in terms of cross over travel.

It would, however, be a great idea for the games the women play at the Amex and when they move into their new home.

forcing people to buy something they dont want to gain access, to something they do, doesnt seem a great way to build lasting interest in the first item.
But they're not forcing people to buy something, they're rewarding the people who do buy something. If you don't want to go, don't go
