Coach what out of him? His entire game is based on it. When was it happening? I’ve seen literally no evidence in a Brighton shirt since he came back from injury that he was doing anything apart from playing for himself. Shooting from ridiculous positions, 1 in 10 go in. Norwich away being a classic. Rutter is literally his exact opposite.
He’ll be great somewhere, it won’t be here.
I remember Enciso at Wolves assisting March looking like he had finally arrived in PL.
Then came the injury and the dramatics. From the outside looking in it does seem FH can’t be arsed with talented kids with ego’s, a strange approach managing a club like ours.

  • They reference Brighton’s recent signing of Stefanos Tzimas, who was immediately loaned out to Nürnberg, as evidence of a lack of a clear development plan.
Yeah. what has happened to the type of clear development plans we had for players like Alexis Mac Allister, where we signed him and then loaned him back eh? How are we going to replicate the development paths of players like Mitoma, Caicedo, Adringa, Ayari or Van Hecke if we're going to sign players and just loan them out?

Do you think we would loan out a £40m player to the lowest team in Belgium for arguments sake like we did Caicedo or even to a championship club.
I often wonder if insurance risks go sky high for the loan side in that scenario.

Well greek matters again, so I will try to shed some light :D

Even though he plays for our arch rivals I can't say something bad about the kid.
He is a huge talent with no limit if he continues to evolve like this.
In the 17-18 years old range, the biggest talents from Greece currently are : Karetsas (Genk), Kostoulas and Mouzakitis (both Olympiakos )

The biggest issue with players that young is if they will reach their potential and how you can evaluate them when they played in the Greek league.
One good indication is that Olympiakos has very good youth facilities and academy (and I admit it even though I hate their guts).

Biggest poof is that Olympiakos won the UEFA Youth League last year and the stars where Kostoulas (8 Games - 5 goals 2 assist) and Mouzakitis.
Furthermore even though just 17 he already had 35 games with the senior squad most of them in the starting 11.

He is very good technical both as AM and all striker positions. This is a good compilation and pretty recent clips :

One negative fact for making a deal is that the owner of Olympiakos, is also the owner of Not.Forest, so he will try to squeeze any other PL team.
Someone could also ask why doesn't Nottingham buy him , a practise that Marinakis loves (to laund...transfer money through his teams ).
Marinakis might be passionate about football, but as a human being he is very questionable-to say the least. An excellent read if you like crime stories :

Having said all that, as a 17 year old he is in the top 10 someone can buy right now. If he reaches he potential he is a steal, if not...but this is a risk with almost any 17 year old not named Yamal.

Thanks for posting this. From looking at this video, he looks as though he has outstanding technique but is taller and stronger than just a technical number 10. Many of those clips see him receiving the ball with back to goal holding off CBs etc which suggests he could play as a number 9.
A couple of questions:
1, is this what you mean by 'AM and all striker positions'?
2, it's a small sample size, but it didn't look as though he's got searing pace which I'd kind of want in a 40m Euro 18yo. How rapid is he?

1. 10, 9 and 2nd striker
2. His pace is very good. he clocked 36 Kmh a few months ago. I think that made him the 2nd fastest player in Greek League
Having said that he just turned 18 and he grew fast to 1.85m, that could affect him (as would any teenager, no matter if they are pro or no) but it is not something that the training stuff is not familiar with.

It's almost as if our senior management have a sort of....plan, strategy and tactics.
I personally find that extremely hard to believe, given our total lack of progress.
But there you go. We will never win anything making these sort of random calculated decisions.

All behind closed doors innit. You, me, and anyone else not directly involved wouldn’t have a clue.

That’s why I said from the outside looking in. Two of our most promising youngsters have gone backwards since the previous season.
True enough. I honestly thought Enciso would kick on and become more ’mature’ in his role with the team. With Evan Ferguson (I presume you’re referring to him) I’m just hoping he’ll come back from the summer break all fired up and ready to go. Such a talent and it would be a real shame if he fell by the wayside.

You think any player gets into a first team squad without having an ego? Enciso wanted game time and wasn't earning it, despite getting a fair few chances.

According to a load of clickbait sites, Wednesday is the crucial day to sign Babis Kostoulas.

If you believe them, we are in pole position, but don’t want to pay €40 million for him.

I have absolutely no idea why Wednesday is crucial,
