My worry is that Pedro has picked a really bad time to kick up a fuss. We're talking about a window where Gyokeres, Sesko, Osimhen, Cunha, Wirtz (and probably others I've forgotten) are making moves or looking to make moves.

It seems as though most big clubs are set on their CF/AM targets, of which Pedro is not particularly high up anyone's pecking order.

To me it seems as though he'll be difficult to move on this window, especially for the price tag we'll be asking.

With it being a World Cup year in 2026 he'll be eager to knuckle down and make a claim for the Brazilian National Team, which could bode well in our favour if he were to stay, but it definitely seems like a bit of a rubbish situation.

Has he kicked up a fuss though?

I’ve heard a lot of speculation around other clubs wanting him, and there seems to be little doubt that there was an altercation between JPvH and JP.

Despite the above, I’ve heard nothing concrete from the player himself. There doesn’t seem to be any push by the club to hang him out to dry. They’ve said they consider the matter closed.

Every team can have flare-ups between players. All it takes is a mistimed tackle, or frustration with a colleague’s training performance. We will probably never get the details. I haven’t given up on JP being part of our squad next season.

We improve players. He could get a good move this summer, but I reckon he’d get a better one next summer if he has another (good) season with us.

This was what I was thinking. As far as I'm aware, he hasn't refused to play or kicked up a stink. The decision for him to be excluded was entirely Hürzeler, as it should be.

Let's see what happens

Cannot understand people writing Pedro off, and seeming almost happy for him to leave. He is a class player who has rescued us many times. I'd be absolutely gutted to see him leave.

This is what I was thinking, Pedro is a class player, if you got rid off every player who had a bust up in training, you would not have many players left
Similar to NSC. If we banned everyone who had been a bit of a twat once or twice, there'd only be about seven people posting.

And I wouldn't be one of the seven.

I really hope Pedro stays but have been concerned for a few weeks he will go to Liverpool. He’s not an out and out number nine so if Evan Ferguson recovers his mojo then both can still play, he’s a game changer, he’s spontaneous (his goal against City at home being a good example of how instinctive he can be), he gets assists (like the one in the same game and the sublime one for Mitoma away at Bournemouth), obviously he’s an excellent penalty taker and he’s still only 23.

I think every Brighton fan would be gutted to see Pedro go.

But he doesn't get into our 1st eleven and here's for why. Welbeck and Geoginio play 'mind passes' to each other, that's telekinesis Commander!

I guess this one is entirely open to interpretation.

The way I've seen it, based on multiple away games this season where Pedro was the first one down the tunnel without applauding the fans (notably Palace), the attempted elbow vs Brentford (H) and then the successful elbow vs Brentford (A), the failing to even show his face at the players do, the altercation with JPvH all amounts to the fact that clearly Pedro is a bit of a temperamental character who very much sees himself at times as the main event.

Obviously none of us are privy to the circumstances behind the bust-up, nor do we know a great deal about how he is seen by his peers at the club, but it would not shock me one bit if it were to come out that he isn't the most popular player at the club.

Like I said, it's one for interpretation. The way I see it is that it would not be out of character for Pedro to have kicked up a fuss behind the scenes to get a move away.
