Just far enough away from LDC
The gentle sound of willow on leather, a ripple of polite applause, scotch eggs from little waitrose, chelsea buns from the flour pot and a fight from the cricketers spilling out into the street.

Only to be matched by a top edge skying over the boundary and into someone's vehicle roof.

Thats Southwick for you

First a Flour Pot Bakery opens then followed fairly swiftly by a ‘Little Waitrose’.

Whatever next?
A Tiffany's, Côte Brasserie and the transformation of the Cricketers into a wine bar.

The game's gone.

Certainly used to be the case; my son played for Southwick for some years. Sadly they no longer play on Southwick Green having moved to Bucky Park some years ago :(

Middle-class mums are migrating west as they can get a house for the same price as a flat.
I'm not a middle-class mum, but that's essentially what we did in 2001, when we had a choice of buying a flat in Brighton or spending the same amount on a three-bedroom townhouse in Shoreham-by-Sea...

Gails next?
You beat me to it.

Where there is Waitrose, let there be Gail’s.

For the record, I f****** hate Gail’s and all they stand for and ALL of their customers.

If you are one of them, you should re-think your life and where you are going.
