My mate who supports Spurs is making the most of their brief moment of glory and has bought a "Winners" t-shirt for our walking football session on Saturday. Fair enough.

So I've ordered an East Fife* "Winners" t-shirt, to make the most of their brief moment of glory - promotion from Scottish League Two. That's as big as the Europa League, surely?

But I'm puzzled - the print clearly says "SPFL League 1 Play-Off". Is that a mistake, or is that just Scotch for "SPFL League 2 Play-Off"?

* I have ancestors from East Fife, so probably more of a connection than my mate has to Tottingham.

A quick look on the BBC website suggests they do call it the League 1 playoff (see the "Watch and Listen" bit).

In context it makes a certain amount of sense to name the matches after the league they're playing to qualify for. Given Annan Athletic were in League 1 it wouldn't make any sense to call them League 2 playoffs because they're not both from that division.

Ah, right. That makes a bit more sense. It's a whole different culture up there!

Pretty sure their walking football session was last Sunday.

Although they were still OUTSTANDING (mate).

They come fra' near Lochgelly
They have nae got a telly
They're dirty & they're smelly
The Cowden family

Da da da da (click click)
etc

is, in an extremely childish way, one of my favourite football songs I've heard over the years.

Significantly more wholesome banter, than the usual words sung to that tune.
