Can't quite work out which bit of the Liverpool player the semi-automated thing is taking the line from? But if right - it's not even close.

I live in an apartment block of four where one flat are City fans, one flat United and one flat Liverpool - we’ve beaten them all this season! (ironically the last time was when we beat City in the League cup and all the other flats were City supporters including one Joe Hart)!

Slot just said same thing in interview.

“Two teams wanting to play football, no time wasting, no time delaying, and that gives a great game of football”
I watched the Liverpool - PSG game earlier in the season and thought just that. No diving or time-wasting - even Salah stayed on his feet when he could have gone down. Same tonight - even our two penalty appeal were half-hearted and not really contested with the ref when they weren't given.

He’s not giving off massive “I’m desperate to go back to Leeds now they’re PL” vibes like MOT told us he’d be showing by now

Well that was f***ing impressive, the ball didn't bounce for us most of the game, Bart should have saved the cross that ended up in the back of the net. The subs were inspired, I thought we’d lost after the second Liverpool goal. Love this club

Gruda looked classy, MOR set up the winner. Two players who have been slagged off all season. Both are a massive asset to us, especially Gruda.

Palace can forget about finishing above us

The impossible dream is still alive

"It just shows how weak the Liverpool squad is". "They were on the beach anyway". "Shouldn't get turned over by Brighton".

Talksport once again show their finely balanced and well researched analysis tonight. Jason Cundy and some other clueless bloke stealing a living.
Don't listen.
I have no more tuned into talkshite than I have GBeebies.
I have more respect for myself than that.
???

Chelsea finish 7th and win conference league or Chelsea finish 6th Newcastle 7th and Chelsea win conference league.
All still possible but still unlikely.
Newcastle 7th a bit far fetched but not Chelsea - I don’t mind being optimistic after a game like that!

My honest question is why signal offside when a team scores Unless completely beyond doubt? It will be checked anyway so all you do is risk being a total buzz clamp on the deserved rocous celebration for no reason at all (Like today) If there is any place VAR should have the right to decide it is offside when a goal is scored.

Absolutely brilliant result. Great going forward but defensively we looked like conceding every time they attacked.

Gruda and Ayari the standouts for me.

Estupinan’s game management at the end nearly gave me a hernia.

I must admit I already knew the result before KO, having taking a brief trip in my Tardis.
Still, when the resources are available it would be rude not to

Oh and Big Hi to @Papa Lazarou
See you next season, with the new knee fully flexing, sonic screwdriver permitting

The lino was keen to flag ud offside.
He flagged early when Minteh was in a dangerous position early in the second half.
Not convinced he was and thought the protocol was to let the attack play out.

Apart from the Forest and Chelsea away games - there's none that I have felt we'd lost until we had. We've basically been in with a chance in nearly every game, and so many of them could have gone either way.
Yeah but Liverpool had one shot on target and a cross that ended up as a goal. We had so many half chances that bounced to a red shirt. I really do believe that we have drawn the short straw on ball bounces so many times this season.

But f***, it all turned out well, tonight!

Quite how Webster was the only player booked had me rolling my eyes at another top six ref. We were thugged by Liverpool

BBC website again:

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "There have been a lot of highs and lows throughout the season. It's important you don't overreact and important to stay grounded and humble because there is still one game to go but I'm really proud of the team.

"It's not only about playing a football game and the tactical side but it's about the mental side too. We only can be successful if you stick together and we proved that today so we are very happy but there is one game to go.

"The players changed the intensity on the pitch. They used the goal as the wake up signal. Liverpool were impressive first 20 minutes but I was happy with the reaction.

On Brajan Gruda: "That was his best game, yes. It's important to understand that behind the player is a person and it's a very young person. He comes from a different country and he's away from his family. He never gave up and always tried to improve in training and showed character. He gets the reward for all his hardwork."

On Harry Howell: "It's a special player for his young age. I always give young players the chance because it's not about your age if you're good enough.

"Everyone knows their role, if you're a sub then you can come into the game. You always have to be ready to have an impact on it.
