I have been thinking about this thread a lot, and you’re right about Talking Heads. Whilst their well know hit songs are great, imho they have lesser known songs which are better. Take Heaven for another example.
They have so many though its hard to rank them.

My personal favorite is This Must Be the Place.

Not a great fan at all of Elton John and his big hits but his Tumbleweed Connection album (1970), with no hits, as a play-through album is absolutely beautiful. Same for Joe Cocker. His Stingray album (1976) seems unknown but as a whole-album listen is a blinder.... but I don't like anything else he ever did.

They’re a rare band which has so so many good (and musically different) songs that people have different favourites, and you cannot really argue against their choices. What a band.

But like cure and Friday I'm in love, they have lots and lots better than Road to Nowhere.

Bjork's biggest hit is 'Oh So Quiet' which provided no indication at all that she would be capable of making great records like 'Pagan Poetry' and 'Venus as a Boy'.
