They did what fans of any team outside the big 5 or 6 perennial winners would love their team to do, watch their team win a trophy. However much we might “hate” them as rivals, I think it’s great that they won it and stuck it to the odious Citeh.
I swallowed my pride and equivocal feelings to watch it in a south London pub with a friend who is Palace fan. One of the best days of his life. Yes I was envious. Yes it was a bit galling amid the sea of red and blue, but good on them. I want this for us. I want to feel this before I kark it! This is what most fans of normal teams would absolutely love to feel. Well done Palace!

I agree.

I'm pleased for my Palace-supporting friends because it's exactly how we would feel.

If you can't relate to the emotions they were going through at full-time you have a cold heart.

It's a shame it's 'them' but I don't really care to be honest. If Palace had been playing anyone other than Man City, I would have wanted their opponent to win.

There's not enough of underdogs triumphing in the world at the moment and we need more of it.

We'll have our day in the sun - or probably rain according to the more pessimistic among our fanbase - soon enough.

At the quarter final stage teams like us and Palace had maybe the best chance we've had in decades of winning the cup; all the teams left were beatable. I don't like it, and they rode their VAR luck, but Palace took that chance. Maybe we should focus our attention on why we didn't.

I think we need to move on from the idea of this season being a big wasted opportunity. It may have been in place with the other teams but we simply weren't in a decent position to take advantage, new manager a load of new players and a load of injuries meant we weren't in the right place to take advantage.

Just one of those things, next year!!
