Truro
Already raining in Truro. Expecting plenty more tomorrow, but it’s well overdue.

Blimey! Really? Would love a bit of rain. Just had a look at the forecast for my postcode for the week ahead and it’s looking pretty rain-free…

Soon be issuing hosepipe bans
It's got 1976 written all over it

'In the last week of August 1976, during Britain's driest summer in over 200 years, [Denis Howell] was made Minister for Drought (but nicknamed 'Minister for Rain'). Howell was charged by the Prime Minister with the task of persuading the nation to use less water, and was even ordered by No.10 to do a rain dance on behalf of the nation. Howell responded by inviting reporters to his home in Moseley in Birmingham, where he revealed he was doing his bit to help water rationing by sharing baths with his wife, Brenda. Days later, heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding, and he became known as "Minister for Floods"'

In my computer
Its worryingly dry...All my water butts are empty, I'm lucky to have a well on my allotment, but most others don't and the tap usage for this time of year is incredible...and the long range forecast doesn't show any rain at all...Its tough as the weather is indeed lovely and I've not had to use my dryer for the clothes for weeks now, but we could do with some water from the sky!!
