On a plane yesterday so missedthe game. If Weiffer played right back where did Lamptey play? Was he more forward or more defender & which side? I couldn’t figure it when I saw the line-up

Correct, Wieffer right back, with Lamptey more as a winger.

But they were very flexible at times, so you'd sometimes see Lamptey in the end of the back four in some defensive phases or when Wieffer was up the pitch.

Wieffer was also instructed to man mark, so for the first goal was chasing down a ball in the oppositions box. Not a typical right back.

The tactics worked brilliantly. We really nullified them on the wings.

Yeah, it's such a shame. Not sure what we do with him. He's just not at the races these days.

Might just not be the right player for and our system these days.
Very kind.

Good assist, but really he looked shocking yesterday, and his level of effort wasn’t the best at one point either, which for me is the worst thing.

Unfortunately struggling with the ask tactically

I know, what did it for me was the half-hearted attempt to chase back.
Pervis gave him a rollicking, he then set up the goal 5 minutes later, so obviously saving himself 😂😂
Agree might have been the same incident but saw us lose the ball on the right and he half heartedly jog backed whilst Gruda who was further ahead sprinted back past him, despite being on longer.

Assist although applauded was a routine pass. I don’t think he’s up to personally and would be the one I’d let go in the summer, shame but he’s been a passenger this season

There was a report from somewhere earlier in the season that he wasn’t happy with the amount of game time he was getting.

I don’t frankly feel he can complain about the amount of time he’s getting on the pitch, given the low-energy showings he too often makes when given the chance.

He’s a player capable of good moments, but I can’t trust his consistency. In any given situation, he might chase back/make the run or he might not.

Recall reading he was frustrated with the lack of minutes which when given the chance, to not put in maximum effort is bizarre.

Maybe protecting himself for a move this summer
