Teeing up open goals for Maupay and Connoly to blaze over the bar.
I remember it well.

March created more big chances per match than Groß , since 2023.
It's not a perfect stat.

But my point still stands, MArch looks up and picks players out.
Mitoma and Minteh don't, they put the ball "into an area"
He does look up and can cross.
Mitoma and Minteh create more danger hence goals scored and assists.
Solly was brilliant when RDZ gave him the confidence. Unfortunately we only had one year of a confident March before injury. March could have done with RDZ earlier in his career.

Thanks for this. I've been having to work this afternoon but these were the points I was making based on my own view of what I see. Good to see that stats beyond goals per appearance show that there is some relevance to what I've seen.

If they are creating more danger, why aren't they hitting the stats for Big Chances created?
That is the very definition of danger.

Mitoma's stats would be unreal, if he could pick out his man.
His final pass is always delivered from a far more dangerous position than Solly's are, but so often are picked off by covering defenders.

Minteh's young, so I don't think it's fair to call him out on anything.

Not arguing that Mitoma and Minteh aren't better all round attacking players, but their final pass, is nowhere near as consistently good as Solly's.

I think we are agreeing. March was special in the RDZ great season. With March one side and Mitoma the other side we were brilliant that year.
Minteh has the potential to consistently be a top PL winger.

March has always been special - but his career has been blighted by being a team player, rather than an out and out attacking winger

He was crucial defensively fpr Hughton and Potter, at the expense of his reputation as an attacking threat
Knocky got all the adulation, but March is still capable of playing at the top level.

March was let down pre RDZ by his lack of confidence in front of goal. At one point under Potter it seemed he would never score again.
A fit March is fantastic for the squad and is very much PL quality.
