Sums it up for our generation. I wonder how the younger fans feel. I see some of them “less hurt” by a defeat and out for a good day out with their mates. For my tuppeny worth, I think there is a combination of issues at play..
yes your point about not bothering is actually a good one. I have a few mates who are all STH whose priorities have changed and although we all remain STH through loyalty to the club and it is because we have “ always done it” most of us have put more and more tickets on the exchange.
travel when you look at it has always been a ballache wether it is by a sporadic train service, or massive queues on the roads leading to the ground from the day it opened. We all knew that and have signed up for it..moans and all! The last couple of weeks with the A27 has exacerbated the travel issues and at the end of the day, Falmer was the only option and we all knew getting to and away was going to be an issue…sometimes when it is bad it is really bad and people think twice about if they want to have that “ experience ”
we have a lot of fans who do come from a decent distance like @hans kraay fan club etc and they are really dedicated to the cause that they battle through roadworks etc to get here. That is NOT a criticism of those who “ cant be arsed” but more a example of people who in effect put up with what we have.
your perspective on life changes as you get older and there is a bit of a feeling about of “ we have seen it all” ( from the bottom of the 4th division to the week we were top of the premier league) and therefore, like Sunday, I wasn’t that fussed that we didn’t get back to Brighton in time to sit on a bus for 2 hours to get to the game. Years ago I wouldn’t hesitate to have tried to go
Club crowds are tickets sold and they have been for decades. So yes. All tickets sold. Point stands. Predictions that crowds might tail off - substantially- if club relegated - perhaps exaggerated but pray that thesis not testedSold out or pretended attendances?
I’ve yet to decide if I’m going. I’m rather disenfranchised and need to get my BHAFC mojo back.Around 1,000 seats currently available
I agree, it’s a combination of factors for me.A sense of disenfranchisement sums it up. It’s hard to put your finger on it but decisions made by the club about what we must and must not do keep chipping away at any sense of ownership.
Just had a look, out of interest, as I could probably make that Monday night.Around 1,000 seats currently available
Fleecing the local Liverpool fans!Just had a look, out of interest, as I could probably make that Monday night.

Bloody Nora.I’m absolutely floored
I had a ticket bought on the exchange a few weeks back (which wasn’t cheap at £78!) but it was a good W1 seat. However, I phoned Club because I wanted a 1901 seat as I struggle with stairs/queues etc. I was told I couldn’t hang on to the ticket I had until the 1901 seats became available so I agreed to a refund last week. I was absolutely assured there would be easily accessible 1901 seats Club available and the Club were supposed to have phoned me on Weds or yesterday.
No phone call, so still no ticket and no 1901 seats on the exchange.
Finally spoke to Club this morning who bent over backwards trying to sort me out a ticket then phoned me back just now - having secured me apparently the only ticket now available in the 1901 (but not with level access to the lounges which is what I was promised).
I agreed to take it as clearly a lot of effort had gone into sorting this out and given none of the remaining seats were easily accessible/or gave me a good view,. However the bottom fell out of my stomach when I was told how much it was. £170!.
So £170 for a seat. £95 for hotel. £65 for travel. £25 food & drink. £360 quid to go to a football match - my half finished patio has just been put back another 2 months. Roll on the summer break.
