There has never been any reports or rumours of Evan ever having been anything other than a grounded, straight down the line, very mature (for his age) individual, with good family support, which makes the situation even more puzzling and frustrating, I suspect for him as much as us.

At a year older Yasin Ayari had done very little until this year's pre-season and we all know what Ferguson is capable of. I would have thought definitely worth another pre-season to see if the enigma can be resolved. Viktor who ?

I would have expected more from him in recent months, given that you'd hope his loan to West Ham meant he's past the injuries. But prior to that, a perceived lack of effort could actually just have been due to carrying injuries and the recovery from them. And the sombre emotions from him could be an annoyance/frustration at his own form, lack of goals and minutes, rather than he just doesnt give a shit. Two very different things. The answer being that form and goals will warrant more minutes, but thats like telling a depressed person to just cheer up. You cant just switch it on. Really we dont know what's going on with Evan and it seems a bit presumptuous to say he just doesnt care.

He'll come good. I recall a young Harry Kane warming the Leicester City bench during the Championship season, 2012-13.

Will probably do him good to drop down to the Championship to hopefully bang in a few goals and get his confidence back. Coventry, Ipswich or Southampton, maybe.

Though as previously stated on this thread, give him the pre-season with Hurzeler and if things go well, there will be no need to send him out on loan. Squad space/numbers permitting.

Any updates on Evan ? He seems a forgotten man.

What a boost for us if he returned pre season , fully fit and back in form.
I heard he headed for Lancing at the end of the season but missed

Suggested in gest? Might not be that bad an idea, but I wouldn't favour it. Probably more pressure if he went there than if he goes to the Championship.
Out of the limelight, will play every week and could well get Hearts up the table and into Europe with a couple more astute signings.

No. You're obviously not aware of the pressures in MTL football. Far more if he's playing for Hearts than in the EFL. The football may be beneath contempt for sophisticated PL followers, but the pressure locally - both Hearts v. Hibs, and Hibs and Hearts v. the Old Firm? Pressure-wise on a different scale. It's way more tribal, and far more brutal for anyone struggling.

Absolutely agree. The Scottish league can be brutal, especially at a big club, with expectations that sometimes forget that Celtic exist.

If he can't handle the pressure in Scotland and deal with the likes of Ross County and St. Mirren, then he's pish as the Scots would say. I think Scottish league would suit him and they would love him there at any of the clubs.

At this stage he really should have been looking to start next season as our main striker or at least equal with Welbeck, quite what’s really gone wrong is the manager’s responsibility to deal with imho

Another one who doesn't understand the pressures in Scotland. MTL it may be (but often actually isn't - on artificial pitches maybe, of which there are too many) but the pressure level is millibars above the EFL.
OK, carry on with your delusions. Ask Teddy Jenks about playing for Aberdeen.

He's just been at West Ham, trust me he's ready for the likes Aberdeen! West Ham fans are brutal from the off, Millwall are the same they love you or hate you, and they make their minds up quick.
