Well, yes - that's always been an option, assuming you could afford it. Most people would prefer to do it following their own team though, I think.

I'd love to see us qualify for it, whether we deserve it or not.

I do though think it's looking remote.

Estupinian has been off form this season, we've not had a good established right back for almost 2 years, Dunky has clearly seen better days, and Gruda, Kadioglu, O'Reily, and Wieffer who cost a rough total of £100m have shown very little for that outlay. Yes - Kadioglu has been injured nearly all season and O'Reily half of it, but there has been very little impact by that four for the cost.

I'm not writing them off yet, but obviously at the start of the season I hoped that these players would have had a real baring on how our season went. Injuries have obviously ruined that notion, and it just feels like to me that the season never really took off.

Hopefully we can get most back fit by the summer and strengthen at right back, centre back, and up front, and clear the decks of a number of fringe players. Roll on next season.

The problem is every year is a transitional one especially as we sell our best players on. If we lose Baleba and JPVH because thy want european football then we are in a very bad place .

I agree, but we have had a few years of relative stability . . . I think Potters 2nd season ? Once we got past the 27 or so 1-1 draws, it clicked, before treasonous behaviour. Not sure there was any ever confidence in stability under RDZ, but it was fun for a while. You'd like to think FabH is here for a while . . . . And the squad grows and sticks together. . .to a greater extent, there will always be movement.

I wouldn’t follow it all that closely tbh for reasons mentioned. I wouldn’t go to any home games if we did make it. As for let those enjoy it comment, who’s stopping them.

It’s a poll mate, there is no correct answer.

The way I look at is really quite simple. Would I want to watch our league form hugely suffer watching tired and lethargic displays at home all season with even worse injury issues and the domestic cup chances more or less derailed for a 3rd rate European competition playing largely average teams over Europe just for the odd day out & piss up in Slovakia or Sweden…no, no I wouldn’t.

Each to their own

This. A few good signings in the summer and less injuries next season means we could be on course for a belter.

Edit: except our manager is clueless and most of our players are shit.

I forgot about that.

Yes. In a heartbeat. It's a huge leap up from the third division championship, which is the best we've ever done in over a hundred years. In a heartbeat..........

I can't see it happening. But it's all about expectations really, isn't it? If we qualified for the Conference League this season, I'd be pleased because it'd feel like a prize we'd snatched at the death. If we'd ended up in the same competition under RDZ in 22/23, it would have felt like we'd fallen short and I would have been disappointed.

Qualifying for any European competition would definitely give me something to cheer this season, my memories of which will otherwise be dominated by watching Palace do a double over us for the first time in almost a century and THAT game at Forest.
