I know I might be going against the grain but I would not be unhappy if we didn’t come 8th and play in the Mickey Mouse Europe league

Don’t have the distraction of mid week games and aim for top 6 next season

I honestly can’t understand how any Brighton fan wouldn’t want us to qualify for Europe. What’s the ambition if you don’t? Is only the CL good enough, or winning the league?

As someone else pointed out, this year’s semi finalists include teams from Seville and Florence, two of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The opportunity to watch Brighton play competitive football in cities like that is what dreams are made of, surely?
Totally agree , don’t understand any Brighton fan who does not want to play in Europe

I have little to no interest in the Europa conference league and I very much hope we don’t qualify for it. It’s a tin pot tournament that shouldn’t even really exist as a competition.

Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the Europa league last season but all I want is a good tilt at winning a domestic trophy now. That’s all I care about now as a Brighton fan. I’ve watched us in 92 grounds in all 4 divisions so that day at Wembley is all I hope for.

If I want a trip to Europe or to watch football I’ll go online and book it. We don’t need to play in Europe for that to happen.

I do but I'm at peace with the fact we probably won't. I'm genuinely expecting us to be better next season. We've been almost good enough but thrown away far too many points. Imagine where we'll be next time if we iron out those mistakes.
This . . . . The season is a transition, All things considered it's been a good one.

the squad and manager will be ready for a great season come August . . . .

A chance to watch Brighton and Hove Albion play in Europe for only the second time in their history.

Sign me up.

I think it is unlkely, effectively 1.5 points behind Bournemouth due to goal difference but a good win next week could change things.

I cannot see how any Brighton fan doesn't want us to qualify for a European competition. Surely a conference league place is better than nothing at all?
It's going to be tough to even get 8th but if we do I'll be delighted (providing you know who don't win the cup).
Absolutely. Although no chance of qualifying. That I’ve been certain of since ‘that’ week, if not before to be fair.

I honestly don’t understand a mindset that thinks the Conference League is not good enough for us and therefore they would rather we didn’t qualify.

It’s still Europe fhs. It would be great fun for thousands of Brighton fans who actually enjoy seeing us play on the Continent, have a few mini-holidays, experience of non-English fan culture/bars etc, camaraderie with fellow travellers …

As for the squad, a bit of kudos, exposure to a potential wider fan base and of course UEFA prize money

So far, Chelsea have secured about €7m for reaching the semi-finals. That fee would double if they win.

Winner: €7m (£5.90m)
Runner-up: €4m (£3.37m)
Semi-finalists: €2.5m (£2.11m)
Quarter-finalists: €1.3m (£1.10m)

Round of 16: €800,000 (£674,135)
Reaching knockout round play-off: €200,000 (£168,533)
League-phase wins: €400,000 (£337,067)

League-phase draws: €133,000 (£112,075)

AND as @Frutos said, the only likely route we would ever have to qualify for the Champions League.

Oh FFS, man !! Of course I want to qualify for it !!! Its Europe.... It's potentially winnable.... it'll be an adventure .... why would we want anything else?? What is the point if thats the attitude?
I dont think it'll happen now , but Im VERY disappointed if thats the case.

F*ck me, what has it come to that someone has it in them to question the height of where we finish in the league. I hate this saying but ‘the games gone’.
