I know I might be going against the grain but I would not be unhappy if we didn’t come 8th and play in the Mickey Mouse Europe league

Don’t have the distraction of mid week games and aim for top 6 next season

Honestly don't care, the important thing is that it's 8th place because City have won the cup

I want to play in it precisely because it’s a Mickey Mouse league and won’t mess up our EPL season

Why would you not want to achieve something  As I've said on other threads, by winning the Conference League, these days it's an easier route into the Europa League than EPL placing (see Manure and Spuds potentially!)

I honestly can’t understand how any Brighton fan wouldn’t want us to qualify for Europe. What’s the ambition if you don’t? Is only the CL good enough, or winning the league?

As someone else pointed out, this year’s semi finalists include teams from Seville and Florence, two of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The opportunity to watch Brighton play competitive football in cities like that is what dreams are made of, surely?

I suppose it was inevitable really, that after years in the PL some Brighton supporters have become so entitled that they turn up their noses at 'tin-pot' trophies they consider to be beneath our dignity to grace with our presence. :(

I do but I'm at peace with the fact we probably won't. I'm genuinely expecting us to be better next season. We've been almost good enough but thrown away far too many points. Imagine where we'll be next time if we iron out those mistakes.
I’ve made peace for this season a long time ago. And I honestly don’t expect us to do anything better than mid table next. Nothing in the squad or club dna suggests otherwise. If anything, we’ll be worse because Danny will be one year older and anyone that’s sold will be replaced by yet more frustrating ‘development, patience, learning’ younger sorts (or injury crocked oldies!) like this’s We’re a bit boring in that respect. Just making up the numbers. Maybe season after next, providing players we’ve invested in come good AND we can keep hold of for 1 season before they’re inevitably poached as per the model / strategy we have.
