Team Coventry here, got a few Cov mates from my uni days there and they’ve had an absolutely terrible time of it over the last few years with dodgy owners and stadium issues (heard that before…)

Bristol city's points tally of 68 must be one of the lowest ever to get in the play offs surely? Not even 1.5 points per game

Coventry are sort of my second team* since my dad and my sister were both born there. We used to go to there to visit my Nan every year.

* if by second team you mean a team I don't actually follow at all except for very occasionally wondering where they are in the table.

Considering the horrendous time Cov fans have had with dodgy ownership and ground sharing would love to see them have their moment in the sun. Saying that haven’t been to Sunderland so they would be ok. Def not Sheff Utd. They’ve stunk the league out several times recently.

Sheffield is easiest for me to get to, Sunderland is a ground I've not been to yet, but I've voted for Bristol as, in theory, it should be easy points but then again this season has proved differently.

As I’m in Bristol this weekend to see The Flaming Lips, I’m gonna be a good tourist and back the Robins.

Especially as I am a Robin myself!

FYI - this gig was booked a year in advance and I’m gutted to miss the Newcastle match, not least as mrs Scoobie is a Geordie.

Sunderland would become my closest away day, so logically it would be then. However for a whole host of reasons I want them to FAIL. So, anyone but them. If I had to pick, probably Cov. I like Lampard a lot as a manager.

In order of preference:

Bristol City
Coventry
Sunderland
Sheff utd.

I like a bit of variety in the top flight. It's boring the same teams coming up and going down each year so for that reason Sheff utd can do one. They've had a couple of bites in the last few years and not done much with it so they can go to the back of the queue.

Bristol city haven't been in the top division in my football supporting lifetime so they're welcome to come up, while Coventry have been out of it for 25 years and have had. a torrid time in the intervening years. I'd be happy with either of those.

Sunderland it's been about 10 years I think? I'm quite happy for them to come up too but I'd definitely prefer the other two. Sheff utd are last on my wish list by a long distance.

Exactly this.

(apart from Bristol City not being a top flight team in MY lifetime)

Brizzle please.

They deserve a shot at it. Given the size of the city I’m stunned they’ve never made it up the pyramid in the last 50 odd years.

I will forgive them their “I hope you die of AIDS” sign that they flashed at us from their supporters coach stuck in traffic on the way back from Cardiff in 2004.

Okay, maybe we shouldn’t have been hanging out of our limo’s sun roof toasting them with champagne, but there was no excuse for that.

Still, love Brizzle.

Coventry or Bristol City

Don’t want Sunderland as they’re another ‘we deserve it as we’re a massive bunch’ club and we also signed the young winger from them and if they come up and he never gets a game for us, he’ll never hear the end of it from their fans

Sheff Utd are just a waste of space in this league
