It’s getting very exciting in the race for the Conference League with 4 clubs also in with a chance of overhauling Villa for the Europa League. I am very concerned that Palace are going to screw us over if we grab the last Conference place though…….that will be up there with the play off semi final disappointment if it happens.

This weekend

Villa vs Fulham - Villa without Rashford, who has been their best player in their surge recently
Arsenal vs Bournemouth - Will Arsenal give a shit?
Brentford vs Manchester United - United knackered and going nowhere in the league anyway
Albion vs Newcastle - All to play for for both teams but we seem to have a shitload of players potentially back, bodes well?

So I’ll be keeping a keen eye on 4 games.

I think its pretty irrelevant  Forest we're not catching unless something very extraordinary happens. Meanwhile if Brentford overtake us then we weren't good enough to get Europe anyway and it barely matters whether you finish 9th, 10th or 11th
Staff bonus scheme kicks in at 10th so there’s a few hundred people that would take issue with ‘irrelevant’ :lolol:

We are going to need to be incredibly good in the last 4 games to stand any chance of a place in Europe which could be taken away from us by Palace and then given back to us by EPL judgement on City.

If City win the Cup and suffer a massive points deduction or relegation would they still be able to play in Europe next season? So would an extra place still open up for whoever then finishes in 8th or is it 9th in those circumstances?

As I understand It depends when the deduction comes over the off season

There is a cut off date for the previous season.

30th June rings a bell

They would take the europa place but everyone below them would move up a place.

So 7th would get Conference.
