In NS Block F on Saturday we enjoyed the new chants for Carlos "Smooth Operator" and Yankuba Minteh running down the wing...

To avoid anyone getting confused with "Simon Adingra runs down the wing for me" - this is Minteh’s chant

As sung by about 30 others clubs:

When the samba rhythm starts to play,
Dance with me,
Make me sway,
Yankuba Minteh running down the wing,
Scoring goals,
Makes the Brighton sing

Absolutely criminal decision from whoever is in charge of the music not to play a song where Baleba’s name could be sung after the final whistle on Saturday.

If they’d have put I’m a believer on, everyone in the stadium would’ve been singing along to it and it’d have a chance of sticking as his song.
This would work SO perfectly

The guy desperately needs a song. Home run song available to those able to start songs from scratch

An option;

Then i saw his pace
It's Carlos Baleba
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
I'm in love
Ohhhhhh
Carlos Baleba
He's our midfielder
In Blue & White

Edited above with the 2 final lines from @Withdean11

If someone is able to make the last 2 lines better then great but can we please get the guy an amazing song?
Shame this has not taken off yet - it's genious

Then l saw his pace . . . it's Yankuba Minteh !!!!

Same song but for a different player, Yankuba is even quicker than Carlos!
No. Baleba actually sounds like Believer. We'll have failed as a fan base if we adopt 'I'm a Believer' for any player other than Carlos. You don't even have to change any other lyrics for the song to work; it's a bit like how the Connor GOLDson song worked with most of the orginal Gold lyrics.

Yep, I just can't believe that our fans who get chants going (and we do have to be grateful to those who have the capacity) can't get what would be one of the best, catchiest and easiest to learn chants for one of our great players and prefer to sing the same bloody adapted tunes as every other club.

Much as I love Neil Diamond and the Monkees’ gospel culturally appropriating 1960s classic, it’s just a bit too twee for a song/chant.

Unlike THIS bad boy. (Yes, I’m being more obsessive about this than perhaps is wise.)

especially given the non-zero risk that he may be playing for another club come August.

The fact that arguably the best player thats ever played for us, who's name is absolutely perfect for Im a Baleba song to be turned into a chant, and a player thats posted numerous times on insta referring to this song and we still havent got this chant sorted, with 4 games left of the season, its ridiculous!!!
It says everything about modern football really. I’m sure if you made one to the tune of Sloop John B it would catch on immediately. But something actually original and unique? No thanks. Far too difficult.

It's why I continually ask the club if I can personally go round and place a song book on each seat and PBOBE tells me NO and to stop coming to his address.
