No they are not.

They only considered it internally (it was leaked) and never for the main Amazon site but the idea never got any traction.

Trump getting his news from Punchbowl and running with it 🙄

Is anyone interested in facts though
A bit Streisand effect really - all this episode has done is to reiterate the fact that tariffs will raise prices for US consumers...

Lol Bezos and Musk starting to realise I think that they supported a fuckwit who's screwing their businesses and knows nothing about trade and economics. ****s all of them
Science has achieved some incredible things in the last century. We can now identify the very building blocks of our universe. We can treat illnesses easily which a century ago were a death sentence. We can now see clear colour photographs of stars and constellations thousands of light years away. We can communicate in an instant with almost anyone, anywhere on earth in seconds.

But it still, still has yet to invent a violin small enough for this.

And makes the WH and Trump look like prime chumps for overreacting to uncorroborated rumours!

Well I would use a stronger epithet than a ‘prime chump’ to describe what they actually are - :lolol:

Surely it cannot be that Bezzy and Musky are not making money out of the wild swings in share prices?
Surely the sorts making money this time cannot only be Sunak and suchlike?
Surely Trump cannot think it is A Plan to tank the businesses of his richest bagmen/fluffers?
Surely Trump must know what he's doing?
Surely?

Trumps doing a decent job on Musk and Bezos.

Up to us now to complete the full house, proper sky high digital services tax should be imposed on Meta and Google, and Twitter (why we allow that platform in the UK in its current guise I do not know)

But once he's done his trade deal with Russia he'll get oil, petrol and fertiliser from them, probably at a better price.

The fertiliser they require comes from potash mining and by far the largest producer in the world is Canada. The next largest are Russia and Belarus who together produce just over what Canada does by itself. More importantly, the available reserves in Canada dwarfs that of the two countries by some margin. Even if Trump did get a cheaper price, transporting it from Europe would add a lot of extra shipping costs - at present I believe it is all done by train from Saskatchewan to the US.

It seems that Trump wants to cut NASA's budget in half. That'll effectively end Musk's ambition to colonise Mars and create a Martian city in his image, he can't do it without a well funded NASA. So that's hopefully SpaceX as well as Tesla in a lot of trouble!

Trump has had enough of scientists, science and experts.

They can't quite work out who to blame.....

'Attempting to square this circle, Hegseth later claimed the Biden administration had “distorted & weaponized” the original program. “Biden ruined EVERYTHING, including ‘Women, Peace & Security,’” he insisted.'

The immaturity is astounding - so child-like in tone. f***ing morons

What a shame. The knee jerk reaction of the White House indicates how angry Trump would have been. Hope Amazon and others introduce it in future - what has Trump got to be worried about if tariffs are such a good idea?

Don't be so hard on Hegseth. It was a perfectly reasonable assumption on his part that a policy which promotes the interests of women couldn't possibly have anything to do with Trump

I was listening to a radio programme and many of the Trump MAGA people were texting in messages that Trump has to do what he's doing because Biden left the economy in such bad shape. No one can say exactly what Biden did to the economy but that if Trump hadn't been elected the country would have been in such bad shape with the Democrats in power.
