anyone watched all the new episodes and found them a bit poor? So far I've watched episode 1 and also episode 5 Eulogy (after a recommendation) and found them both pretty average overall.

Any of the other episodes worth bothering with ???

I watched the first two from the new series on a plane last week. The flight went quick but I do think it’s all a bit cynical. I hope I don’t have to subscribe to keep my brain alive.
Or should I just have seen it as a SKY satirical piece 😀

I realised I hadn't seen Season 6 when the new ones came out. I thoroughly enjoyed Loch Henry last week but I guess I'm over a year out of date.

Quite enjoyed Hotel Reverie the other day despite plot holes so massive you could fit a bus through (although knowing Black Mirror, the plot holes may have been intentional, if you know this episode's subject matter).

Favourite ever is between pretty common ones

San Junipero - gorgeous episode
Nosedive
White Bear
Shut Up and Dance

It was disappointing that of all the episodes they could have revisited they chose HSS Callister.
It’s the only one of the new series I haven’t watched.
The series on the whole was OK. The gaming one was fun.
Once Black Mirror sold out to Netflix it was always going to lose that cult edge that made it appealing in the first place. Echoes of Potter to Chelsea.

What episode would you want a revisit of?

USS Callister is very popular - I liked it but no more than 7.5/10 for me.

The obvious one is San Junipero. Although they sort of (badly) did it in this series with Hotel Reverie. The vibe at least.
Or not revisit at all and just go with orginal ideas.
Afterall Imo the joy of a BM episode is watching it with no idea about what it‘s About and having not read the reviews.

Is it the obvious one? Brilliant episode but the story felt pretty wrapped up to me.

Yeah *spoilers* the romance in Hotel Reverie didn't feel earned at all for me.

What's the one where the friends have SEX on a video game?

I told my mate Dave about that episode. I said what a MAD idea it was. I said "men can play games and be trusted" so I added him to a game I'm playing. Dave's quite buff so he picked a big muscley character so I thought it would be funny to be this slim woman. Dave said "shall we pretend to kiss like they did on that show. That would be MAD, so I said "sure". We are having a right laugh about it all.

I like Dave.

I think they could revisit the world of SJ in some form or other, with different characters.
That’s If they really wanted to do a sequel at all. IMO you make a full BM sequel when you’re running short of strong orginal ideas.
That said, I liked the way Will Poulter’s character was revisited in the gaming one. That was more of a subtle revisit though

Thought the new series was very underwhelming, personally. Can't say I really enjoyed any of the episodes, feels to me they've gradually gone from being shocking, intricately written stories that keep you guessing to 'I'm 14 and this is deep', so to speak.

Being boring but San Junipero is probably my favourite ep, not so much for the storyline as the feeling of immersion that I got from it.

Yeah, I thought that was the weakest episode of the new series. Personally I thought the others were all ok, and overall it was no better or worse than any previous series. For me it's a bit like 'Inside Number Nine' in that respect, there's stand-out episodes rather than a single stand-out series.
