Our record against the top six and Spuds this season suggests we'll do well.

All this talk of high numbers of points though - realistically is that going to happen? Against West Ham we lost control of the game for a good half hour in the second half, just as we did at home to an even more mediocre Southampton side.

The only team we play who are going to be that shite is Spurs - the other three will make us pay if that happens again.

We have taken 7/12 pts from the opposite fixtures.

Suspect we will have the same tally from the reverse fixtures.
I'm banking on Liverpool being on the beach. We totally outplayed them for the 1st half at Anfield, with a bit of luck, we'll stamp on their victory parade.

probably, but there is also a very real change that Liverpool and Wolves will be on the beach.
We will be a very different side with JPVH and Veltman available.

It's a weird part of the season coming up.
If we can build on the mood after Saturday, we might be able to put a mini run together.

I suspect It all depends on what happens next weekend.

Villa vs Fulham
Arsenal vs Bournemouth
Brighton vs Newcastle

Ours is undeniably the toughest challenge, with Villa and Arsenal both misfiring at present, and Arsenal with other priorities.
We need to pick up something against Newcastle, and hope Villa and Arsenal don't lose, to stay in the hunt.

Good to see the long awaited "reaction" on Saturday.
But we will need to be a lot better on Sunday.
I think villa away is very difficult, probably there last chance of pushing for champions league. They will going hammer and tong to win that at home considering there recent f ups.

This is a good point.

I've been sucked in by 1 good result again, haven't I?
This season has been defined by us having poor runs followed by good ones. If we can find that confidence and belief that saw us beat Chelsea x2, Newcastle, Fulham, Bournemouth, draw at ManCity, then who knows if this can be another mini run…

One. Sticking to my prediction in an earlier thread. Based on Newcastle and Wolves are flying and have lucked out on injuries, whilst our defence is pants just now against everyone …. even LCFC and WHU. Whilst we always raise our game for the 215 mile derby.

Newcastle 0
Wolves 0
Liverpool 1
Spurs 0

So weighing up everyone's thoughts and making a considered assessment of where we are at:

I haven't got a f***ing clue.

Somewhere between 1 and 9 is as close as I am going to commit to.

Although I can't rule out the possibility that we get 0 or more than 9.
