Cracking fight and performance from both boxers. Loved the nostalgia of the walk on and them fighting in the same colours as their Dads did in the 90’s… £20 very well spent…

One thing bugging me, why do they announce him as being from East Sussex and not from Brighton? Senior was always from Brighton and I don’t recall ever hearing a boxer introduced as being from a County rather than a town / city before this?

In the light of day that was one of the best fights I have ever seen. Exceeded all expectations. Both fighters were bloody warriors. It was pure theatre from start to finish startng with Senior getting out of the car and the roar from the stadium

Just far enough away from LDC
I'm all for Billy Jo Saunders getting his arse handed to him on a plate by the minders to Junior's dressing room when he claimed he was just there to monitor the gloving

And then to see his groupies getting angsty on social media and threatening someone who commented in jest that he (saunders) hadn't finished his driveway yet and calling 3mm of top coat a thorough job was taking the mick

Saunders is an embarrassment of a human being. Some of his past antics make grim reading.

The 12th round was insane, how Benn was standing after that Eubank left uppercut 30 seconds from the end is unbelievable

Eubank back on the Albion turf, after a couple of visits in 1990/91. That would be awesome.
The shadow boxing to the north at half time when we played Sheff Wed (before the Benn 1 fight) was an iconic goldstone moment.

Eubank still in hospital?

He's surely set up for life now, wonder whether a rematch is sensible

That is Michael Buffer’s (the ring announcer in question) catchphrase. He owns the trademark to it and uses it for every show he announces. It’s definitely more of a boxing thing than wrestling.

The reason Ant and Dec has to call their song Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble was to avoid any copyright issue with Buffer.

I also believe the wrestling film Ready to Rumble could only use that title cause Buffer appeared in the film.
Top Facts..! 👋

This.

They allegedly will split £10 million (gate money, merchandise and PPV) 60/40, after exes but before tax.

As exciting as the fight was, it’s not the all time classic many our saying, and one member of the Talk Sport team put it on a par with Hagler vs Hearns, to quote Eubank Snr from many years ago “I want him tested” 🙈

Just watched it back, to reiterate as exciting as the last two rounds were, Eubank looked everyone of his 35 years, with a plausible argument if he’d been up against a fighter in his own weight category he might have been put away.

Clearly there are people he will listen to, and I hope one of them has the foresight to tell him to retire.
