When we went to the Villa shop in December we saw that they were selling their own version of this concoction. So not an original idea which makes it even more unforgivable

Retro means imitative of a style or fashion from the recent past. You’re thinking of vintage, and at 25 years old I think that’s just about vintage in terms of football shirts.

Trouble is when your older retro, the definition meaning 10/15 years old, seems modern, although if you were young it would seem ancient or retro. It’s all very confusing.
