I will attend the game, however like many other's I'm really angry about this.
I totally get that Sky is our bread and butter but surely the club, police, authorities and travel companies must have some input on days and timings of fixtures.
I very much doubt it (unless there was a very strong police reason - which there isn’t). Brighton can’t opt out of Monday night games. Sky aren’t paying crazy money to then not get what they want.

f***ing SAY SOMETHING. Even if they can’t legally or contractually do anything still say something. This is a SHOCKER of a fixture change. There is a growing perception among ‘average’ fans that the people at the top of our club are starting to lose contact with the ‘average’ fan. Considering where we have come from that is not a good trend. I honestly believe there are people at the top end of the club who no longer give a shit about the ‘average’ fan. They have forgotten where we’ve come from and the journey it’s taken to get here.
Be very careful because just one bad season and they’ll be back to begging the ‘average’ fan to get back on board. #Together anyone?
If the club say something then they’d be criticising Sky. Sky don’t pay billions to then get criticised for getting what they paid for.

The only thing that can be done about it is for fans to cancel their Sky subscriptions.

It’s not just the Premier League and Sky/TNT.

Have a look at the May fixtures for La Liga. They’ve only been announced for the first weekend and are already over Friday to Monday - and all at different times.

Supporters in Spain get much less notice than we do of fixture changes. It’s the same in Serie A with around 3 weeks notice of changes given with games often on Friday/Monday evenings.

Hammering TB/PB/the club on this is wrong in my opinion. There really is nothing they can do.

But for what reason would any of these feel they can justifiably ask the PL to not have our game - at home - on a Monday night?

You are correct, though an acknowledgment of the mass-inconvenience from the club in the news article may help take some sting out.

Was coming down for this weekend, shall still make a weekend trip - but won’t be attending the game & ticket going on the exchange as such.

Once again our board (not naming names…) have/will do f*** ALL. Because they don’t care. When fans actually wake up to this might be the point something has to give.
Didn’t the club - behind the scenes - successfully negotiate with PL and get the Brentford (h) game at Xmas moved for transport reasons. ? Ie no trains on the initial date. I’m sure @Bozza shared that at the time.

(Haven’t they also successfully negotiated with the PL to show non TV away games as Beambacks ? )

That's was one of the happiest moments I've had watching the Albion since I started in 1973. Seeing us going toe to toe with the best team in the world at the time, coupled with Enciso's wonder-goal, was the culminating moment in an unforgettable season. I most probably stayed and hung around after.

But this season feels different. I am quite satisfied with our squad and manager and feel we have been unlucky again with injuries that have seriously hindered our progress. A lot of great moments along with some dire. Even if we attain European qualification, there's nothing like the first time.
Agreed. A great night. Let’s hope that there’s still some hope when we go into this match, with 2 games to go. It’s remote and it might well be a lame duck game for both teams but maybe …

That certainly rings a bell. My comment was more about the Liverpool game and there being no genuine reason for any of those bodies to request a change in this instance ... however much it annoys and inconveniences some supporters.

But the words would really be meaningless and there would no doubt be some on here saying they are just paying lip service.

Sorry to say this but this comment is a sort of “thread closed” moment.

There’s protesting, complaining etc and then there’s pissing in the wind. This fixture change is the latter.

This.

My only surprise is the choice of game, with the likelihood of it being a totally dead rubber with both sides blowing up the lilos and dusting off the Speedos.

I was going to go with my two nephews and their dad but not now. 4 more tickets that won't be bought.

Someone really has to question Sky over such issues. Yes, we want the TV money, but the last home fixtures of any side in the Prem should not be night games - simple.

Absolutely awful for Brighton Fans. Even worse for Liverpool fans. It will have the effect Sky are no doubt hoping for.....more staying at home/signing up for Sky.

All the games in that match week are on TV. My guess is that they just want a Liverpool game and the champions to be the focus of (their last of season ) Monday Night Football.

With bonus if Albion are still chasing Europe.

Well another ticket on the exchange. Flying to Cyprus that day and purposely delayed what flight to catch to ensure I could go to this match. Maybe we as supporters should pick this match as one to ALL list our tickets even if you could go. Complete thundercunts.
