[Albion] “Didn’t wake up expecting to play centre-back”

Wonder if the club might go down this route…

The Premier League's emergency loan rules, while officially called "exceptional temporary transfers" according to the Premier League, allow clubs to register players on loan outside of the standard transfer windows in limited circumstances. These emergency loans are typically used to address injury or suspension situations, allowing clubs to fill temporary gaps in their squad.
I doubt it, given we have a fit £9m player sat on the bench and JPVH back next week. Not really an emergency?

He’s such a crap manager it’s Leicester and he crapped himself. This was a game to see if Wieffer is any good or if Cashin is likely to make it.
Because he hasn’t built any kind of formation:style each game is different from the last.
Southampton and now this shower have looked the most likely team to win in both games.
What are we holding out for with this guy?
Six points of ManUre
Six points of B'muff
Four points off Citeh
Three off Chelsea
Thee (so far) off Spuds
Two draws with the Arse

Into the sea with him?
Tough crowd

Woke up this morning with a similar feeling Baleba woke up with yesterday. Always nice when you can relate to professional footballers.

Got to be turning up against those sides in the 4/5 at home, especially the current bottom three, which are the poorest the Premier League has seen. Had we not f***ed, Ipswich H, Saints H, Liecester x 2 then we'd be comfortably in 5th. We literally self sabotaged those games ourselves.

P.s. who isn't beating Utd and Spurs this year...?

Many other teams could say the same or very similar things tbf. Everyone fucks up every now and then.

But sure, football is a game of mistakes and the less you do, the more you win and we've made too many to really compete up there.

Frustrating as hell but I honestly much prefer "we make too many mistakes" to "we don't have the capacity to compete".

If we win all games against bottom 4 and lose all games against the top 4, then it would feel like we had hit some sort of ceiling and had to rebuild to have a chance of achieving anything... which is a lot more complicated than polishing young players to cut out dumb mistakes.

I get your point but we've won 1 game against top 4 so far with just Liverpool to play.

True. But yeah, you get the point - we generally do better against teams that aren't completely shite.

Look at Villa - they brought in players in January, who have made instant impact. We needed that. And if we couldn't get someone who would make instant impact (or any impact whatsoever), why bother buying in January when we know it's an expensive time to buy?
Would that be the Villa that are in the quarter finals of the Champions League, so could attract players like Rashford and Asensio etc that are capable of making an instant impact on loan.

Honestly, comparing our recruitment to a team like Villa with a MASSIVE transfer and wage budget that playing elite European football to us is ridiculous.

The future is Igor, JPVH and Baleba (assuming we don't flog 'em all off in the Summer)
That is some doomsday stuff.

1-2 good CBs need to be brought in, Igor shipped to any taker who wants a player who spends half of the seasons injured and the other half producing terrible defensive numbers and Baleba needs to return to midfield.
