Whereas Russell Martin got on well with the non-football staff. Very, very well in fact, with one or more of the younger, low-ranking staff members of the female variety.Juric was disliked by everyone at Stains
You got proof of that?Whereas Russell Martin got on well with the non-football staff. Very, very well in fact, with one or more of the younger, low-ranking staff members of the female variety.
That he got on very well with his colleagues? You got proof of that?
yepThat he got on very very well with his colleagues?
Boring clogging 10 men behind the ball stuff, maybe, without any guarantee that it would work anyway.Again, what kind of football would they have to play to stay up?
I would argue that this is another failure of management from him. They liked Martin despite realising they weren't good enough.
He'd be a f***ing idiot to accept it IMO. The board are rudderless and the squad will be severely denuded of any of it's precocious young talents come the end of the summer window. Top ten in the Champ next season would be a serious achievement tbh no matter who is at the helm. Will the Saints give Lallana his first Management appointment?
I knew less than nothing about him before his appointment at the Stains yet a brief soujorn onto his wikipedia page reveals three strange factoids that possibly ingratiated him to their board:Juric was disliked by everyone at Stains and it's amazing that they stuck with him as long as they did. This is what's wrong with not having any club philosophy or plan. Martin had a vision, including for what would happen if/when they were relegated. Too much emphasis on outcomes, not process.
Not like he would drown in offers to be head coach elsewhere. Thats not how the job market looks for new managers. If he's offered the Southampton gig he kind of needs to take it.He'd be a f***ing idiot to accept it IMO. But he doesn't financially and therefore why tarnish any chance of a managerial career before it's even started? He needs to take the emotion out of the situation and walk away. I genuinely expect there's a high chance he will make an exceptional manager and so really shouldn't get thrown in at the deep end like that. Not like he would drown in offers to be head coach elsewhere. Agree, it’s why Parker got the sack at Bournemouth, just sat there and went we aren’t good enough to stay up. O’Neill came in and kept them up. Southampton sounds like it’s been a mess from day one this year (through this player).I would argue that this is another failure of management from him.
