As soon as our top notch, highly paid, Cat A, medical staff get the chance to heal him, with their cutting edge precision instruments such as a club hammer, a scythe and a blunderbus, the lad will be back on the field in no time
You’ve got a dodgy toe nail there Ferdi out for the season lad 🙄😁

Really? I mean, they’re pretty similar, but Delap clearly has an extra yard or two of pace, which makes all the difference in top flight football
It does. But as Shearer said of Ferguson ' Right foot, left foot, header - this kid has it all'. I see Delap as a flat track bully, muscular and quick.
Ferguson has a natural talent and eye for a quick touch and shoot. More finesse and that special something you can't teach or build in the gym. Both excellent prospects, but sadly until Ferguson recovers his health he is stuck among the also fans.

Potential as a striker only really works if you are scoring goals though.
Evan has scored 1 goal this season, in 19 games.

If Ferguson can be fixed, he is a far better player than Delap. Of course, the word doing all the heavy lifting is 'if'.

Couldn’t disagree more. What are you basing that on out of interest?
Not so much a matter of comparisons and 'who's better' - but IF Ferguson can be fixed, he's one hell of a player. The IF looks bigger every time he steps on the field at the moment though. :(

Delap looks good at times, but also a bit of a clogger with a heavy touch at others.

At this moment he is far better than Ferguson, but two years ago I’d argue he (Fergie) was at least as good as Delap is now, ……..but that was two years ago…..

Not sure anyone playing for Ipswich could have the luxury of being called a "flat track bully". Delap has scored 12 in 30, with 2 assists, in a side that is PL JUNK. Fergie could only dream of returns like that, and he was part of a far better team.

I appreciate he's been hampered with injuries, but I fear we may have seen the best of him already. Can't see West Ham beating down our door to sign him permanently. I hoped that loan move might have reinvigorated him, but lets face it, he's fallen off a cliff.

Ferguson needs a pre season to get him fit again, I quite like the idea of Delap, our new Greek lad and Fergie leading the line all three on form would be a handful.

Also, playing well and scoring goals in a terrible team, who is a complete defensive mess can’t be any easy ask. Delap seems to be able to do this and play his part in good faith.

I think it's interesting that the rumours of United wanting to sign Amorim's pet striker (Gyokeres) have dried up and been replaced with rumours that they want to sign McKenna's pet striker instead.

I don't think we'll get Delap. I think both he and McKenna will be at United when the next season kicks off.
