That's the first sensible post on this thread.
:smile:

I can’t work out if some posts are serious or not. The Mitoma one a little further up for example.

Okay, l stand corrected.

let's call it the process. That should stop anyone getting upset. 😂

I am intrigued though, what do you call a project that doesn't have an end date?

That's called a 'runaway project' and normally continues until someone new comes in, has the balls to point out the blindingly obvious, and kills it. At least that's what happens in my experience, and I've put a good few out of their misery :wink:

£50m is good for a keeper - but chances are we'd watch in envy as he develops into one of the worlds best keepers and we struggle to replace him with someone near his level of ability.
Bart looks the part and has the physical attributes to develop into a world class keeper.
He has so many flaws though which he may not overcome.
So Id be amazed if we get a £50m offer as his game doesn’t stand up to close scrutiny, and would accept it in a heartbeat.
And btw we already have at least one keeper on our books near his level of ability.

We need a fast reliable defender.
We won’t sell Dunk but I doubt we’ll give him another year beyond next season.
I’d be trying to keep Webster as he seems to understand what Fab wants.
I think we’ll look to sell Enciso, possibly Ferguson and if we receive a big bid for Mitoma or JP we may struggle to keep them.
Lamptey may go but if he does we need another RB in.
Being 8th in the league doesn’t suggest we need a major overhaul.
A positive is that MOR seems to have played well today and we need players like him to have a bigger impact next season.
Agreed.
Absolute priorities are a fast CB and FB and possibly a DM and unload some of the fringe midfielders to reduce the wages.
Some loan players sold unless they are pulling up trees which doesn´t seem to be happening so far in the English leagues.

Another absolute shocker.

We need a summer rebuild with multiple outgoings. So who goes?

Lamptey - permanently injured. Free up his wages and give the medical staff a break.

Webster - A few good games does not hide the fact he cannot play more than a handful of games before needing a few months off. Waste of wages.

Milner - LOL.

Adingra - Probably a bit of value in a sale.

March - I'd be tempted to give him a pre-season for sentimental reasons, but he is no longer the answer to the question. Let him go to Saints for a longer contract.

Cashin - baffling signing.

Wiffer - not up to Premier League. Let's try and get our money back.

Verbruggen - can't save shit. Sell to those who are sniffing.

Enciso - It's clear the club don't want him for some reason, and I doubt he wants to be here now either.

Anyone else?
CBA to read the rest of the thread, so I'll just pick out this one, which may or may not have been covered. Why would people be 'sniffing' around a goalkeeper who 'can't save shit'?

Berk.

I am quite enjoying Tony's runaway project, I hope no one puts it out of its misery.

Out of contract departure - lamptey, Milner, McGill

Sales - Ferguson, adingra, Bart, Sarmiento

Loan out - cashin, gruda

Buy - 40m centre back, 40m right back

Returns - enciso, facundo, yalcouye, Osman, beadle
Would not sell Ferguson or Bart. Ferguson just needs a decent loan to a top championship side, someone like Sunderland or Coventry if neither make it up via the playoffs as he needs the chance to rip it up in a lower league and get that precious striker quality back that is confidence.
Remember Harry Kane was on loan at Millwall once. Sarmiento is the new Alzate so unlikely to kick a ball in anger for us ever again.
Adingra not good enough, both offensively and defensively. Wieffer and O'Reilly I would put down to injury and bad form but they both need to have outstanding seasons in 25/26 to justify their very existence at the club. Agree the bulk of summer transfer "ins" needs to be spent on the defence though if we are to step up a level.

The most curious thing..
Dunk's turning circle is getting wider and wider - although not quite as Steve Foster's in his later years (yet).

I am going to predict that Gruda, Ferdi, Georginio, Minteh and Gomez (Does he count) will all come good.

The jury is out on O'Riley and Weiffer.

Who else? I've not been following those straight out to loans.
Yalcouye doing well at Sturm Graz (along with Kjel Scherpen) - but it is the Austrian Bundesliga, so......?
Osman in and out at Feyenoord;
Cozier-Duberry not pulling up trees at Blackburn;
Barco playing pretty regularly now he's in France with Liam Rosenior;
Sima doing OK in Ligue 1 too, but not really a youngster any more.

I wonder if there could be a huge surprise this summer, I could see a scenario where our captain might go, I’m not sure he can physically cope with the EPL now and I’m certain we’ll sign a top £ CB this summer, so he won’t be a certain starter, he won’t retire I could see a Saudi/USA payday.

We need at least 2 new CBs this summer and we have to keep JPvH.
